@rohan_connolly I don’t think anybody enjoyed the match at Old Trafford this past summer. There was plenty of batting technique/patience on display there but nothing in for the bowlers.
@rohan_connolly I don’t mind matches folding inside 2 days. I enjoy watching quality bowling and pitches that assist bowlers. One has to agree test cricket is best enjoyed when bowlers have a slight edge over the batters.
@amittalwalkar The one against India is probably worse imo. Series on the line, game in the bag and he throws it all away. Who knows if they’d beaten India at home, ended the series on a high, they might have been more competitive against Australia.
@TheBarmyArmy Another drubbing in the offing. Hard to get any positivity going with this bunch of players, their attitude, coaching staff. Their hubris has still some way to go before meeting its sorry end.
@bbctms ‘Not been good enough for long enough.’ Well, it requires cognisance of when to attack and when to defend. With shots like the ones Brook and Smith played, they only have themselves to blame.
@tds122 Bethell's a big no for me given his lack of composure cost Eng the series against India. Atkinson is a good bowler at home but rubbish outside. Brook should be managed well otherwise his 'positive' style of play will ruin his career.
#Stokes is epitomising how to build a test innings. He’s a class apart in the English side at the moment. Without him, the results may well have well far worse. #engvsaus
@TomEvansCricket Well I’d look for proper test match cricketers to begin with. Only Root and Stokes(by his genius) qualify for me. I’d keep Archer, Carse from the bowling unit. Wood can come in and leave as his fitness allows.
@LiamPson673@thecricketmen Stokes is a champion player but this method and the team he has was bound to fail. They lost in India 4-1 so isn’t much of a surprise that to me.
@JamesKe74064602@hemantbuch Fair enough. But 2-2 with a team in decline is still a decent result to the present lot who think they’ve taken English cricket to new heights.
