"Faith means battles; if there are no contests, it is because there are none who desire to contend." -St. Ambrose
"A faint faith is better than a strong heresy." -St. Thomas More
In today's episode of Hope in the Desert, Fr. John Lovell sits down with Lt. Col. David Sonnier (US Army Ret.) to talk about his fight for the Traditional Latin Mass in the US Armed Forces, which he details in his new book "Rites and Wrongs" available now from Os Justi Press.

"@SenTomCotton just introduced this amendment that would essentially merge US intelligence and Israeli intelligence."
This is totally evil and un-American.
Watch:
@EricRSammons At one point is one able to discern [or their personal conscience leads them to believe] that the current Modernist Catholic Church is not the perennial Church of history? Modernism is a heresy. Do we not still believe this?
A Florida Senator from the Republican Party -- the Free Speech Party -- is demanding that a musician's concert be cancelled and shut down because he dislikes views the musician has previously expressed.
Hang on a minute, what? If you are using “they refuse to accept certain fundamental elements of the Church” as your discernment criteria, why don’t we start with the long list of openly heretical cardinals (eg Hollerich, McElroy etc) and bishops in German, all of whom explicitly reject Church teachings?
To my knowledge, this is the first time @Pontifex has publicly addressed the upcoming SSPX episcopal consecrations since Fr. Pagliarani made his announcement over four months ago.
Here is the question Pope Leo needs to answer (from Bishop Schneider):
“Why is the unconditional acceptance of the texts of Vatican II presented as a conditio sine qua non for full communion with the Holy See, while no comparable requirement exists with respect to the pastoral, disciplinary, or non-definitive teachings of the preceding twenty Ecumenical Councils?”
You can be mad at me for telling you these are lies, but these are lies:
“I will not approve FISA without THE SAVE AMERICA ACT going along with it.”
“I'm against FISA if it doesn't come with The Save America Act (Full version!) firmly attached to it.”
It’s a trick for the weak
Vatican II didn't define a dogma or condemn a heresy, like all previous Ecumenical Councils, that are binding on the consciences of the faithful
Instead it introduced innovations that contradict the perennial magisterium, particularly about religious liberty, ecumenism, religious indifferentism and the Petrine Office
What he's saying here is that the SSPX have to accept these novelties to be in communion with the conciliar Churzh
No pope can demand this
The SSPX accept those parts of Vatican II that are consistent with the perennial magisterium
@A_Hollywood1776@AFpost Low IQ post. Katholicos means Universal in Greek. Which was what it meant to be, Christian, until the Eastern Schism of 1054 but really until Luther 1517. Now it’s the Catholic Church and 40K + denominations. <This is no defense of the current pope.>
You can send them hundreds of billions of dollars. Countless munitions. Lose thousands of American soldiers fighting their neighbors. But the minute you refuse to keep fighting their wars they immediately revert to hating you. That's not an ally. It's an abusive relationship.
BREAKING: Pope Leo on the SSPX consecrations —
“I am considering making another appeal and saying ‘don't do this, let's try to live the communion of the Church.’ But it is their choice.
We must realize what it means for them and for the Church. Certainly, the division among Christians is a painful point.
However, they refuse to accept some fundamental elements of the Church, starting with several points of the Second Vatican Council. If they make that choice, I am sorry. But we must move forward”
