@CalebKal07@RpsAgainstTrump If you’re on US soil, you follow the laws of the land. If “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” meant allegiance then you should be able to get away with any crimes if you’re not from here and that is certainly not the case.
@CalebKal07@RpsAgainstTrump Decoration? That’s the interpretation of “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” via Wong Kim Ark, and it’s the right one that has been upheld. Allegiance is such a flimsy concept that unless you have direct ties as an ambassador or a foreign enemy, it basically means nothing.
@CalebKal07@RpsAgainstTrump No they didn’t. “This will not … include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of embassadors” is ONLY for the children of foreign dignitaries, not foreigners as a whole that would be ridiculous while trying to grow as a country
Ronald Reagan: “You can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman…But Anyone, from any corner of the Earth, can come to live in America and become an American…This, I believe, is one of the most important sources of America's greatness.”🇺🇸
@StuartPidJR@OmnipotentMeesh@_Zeets it was the only way the company would let the movie be released because they originally had everybody on all sides.
Trump: "When you have networks where I won an election in counties -- I guess it's 2,600 to 525, that's called a landslide times two -- when you have that kind of popularity or voter support, and yet 97% of the newscasts are against me ... I think that's really illegal."
@beatmastermatt i’m curious how being ‘nice’ in Congress correlates to not being a part of a corrupt system. i’m sure he’s a nice guy and this is a good interview, but this almost 900k figure says otherwise of his intentions.
