Dolton SD 148's Superintendent Kevin Nohelty received nearly $600K in compensation last year.

When he retires, taxpayers from Rockford to Cairo will have to pay his six-figure annual pension.

And yet only 19% of Dolton students can read at grade level.

It's the same for many school district admins: six-figure salaries paid for dismal student outcomes. It's another reason why Illinoisans pay the nation's highest property taxes.

No more six-figure salaries for failing admins. As governor, I'll demand merit-based and achievement-based compensation for all educators.

@duzysmiec @theficouple 18-20% DP on a 600k house, all in after taxes, insurance, etc - your mortgage will be $2800-$3200. People live through their 20s-30s partying and not saving + not balancing both. It’s very doable.
