I think I just witnessed an example of cross-species adoption at Ingbirchworth reservoir. Two adult Canada Geese were swimming in a group with five young Greylags @Hudds_BWC @Barnsleybsg @MartinW13347937

The Ouse and Humber Drainage Board have mown the embankment around Brough Airfield marsh and adjoining land today, destroying the Common Blue and Brown Argus colonies. Rare Breeding Birds still nesting. @seanpnrouse @YWTHullWildlife @ChrisGPackham @guardianeco
