BREAKING:
Apocalyptic scenes in Lebanon’s capital right now.
Israel is bombing residential buildings in densely populated neighborhoods of Beirut.
A ceasefire that still allows bombs to fall on civilians is not a ceasefire.
If @FulhamFC showed as much due diligence in club sponsorship deals and contingency planning for staff departures as they do in pushing fans for season ticket renewals they'd be the best run club in the league.
BREAKING: Four Palestine Action activists found guilty of criminal damage are applying to remove the judge in their case on the grounds of bias. Mr Justice Jeremy Johnson is expected to sentence them as terrorists – despite being convicted of an ordinary criminal offence – in a move kept secret from the jury
On 12th June -10am–5pm.
After never having been charged with - & never having been found guilty of terrorism - Pro-Palestine activists will be sentenced for terrorism.
A first in UK history.
Please RT this until this travesty of justice is ended.
Thank you.
@FulhamSense@WhiteNoise1879 Remember bookies odds do not necessarily reflect the likelihood of something happening, they react to how much money is being staked on an outcome.
It’s begun: The Great Rewriting of History by the politicians, journalists, media commentators who stayed quiet over Gaza to keep climbing the greasy pole - while a handful of us who spoke-up were smeared, abused, or fired.
As @Hamza_a96 says, don’t let them do it:
Labour’s Palantir scandal.
Emails appear to show Peter Mandelson using his position to arrange access to government ministers for Palantir - the US military tech company with access to NHS Data.
We demand to know what access was arranged, what meetings took place, and what was discussed?
The fact @LindsayHoyle_MP was emailing Israeli politicians is bad enough but to use the powers of the @CommonsSpeaker to block publication of these communications is an affront to democracy. They need to be published and he needs to be removed from office.
But...we do this bro. Haven't you heard we do this? We're like famous for it.
Why are you making like you don't know? Who made you in charge all of a sudden?
@mattzarb@markgoldbridge Saka wasted the time he had to take the corner, why should the ref compensate him for that??
How about Arsenal just get on with the game and stop trying to push the rules to the limit for a change?
@mattzarb@markgoldbridge He was very good.
We need more refs like that in the Prem, who aren’t willing to let Arsenal get away with wasting two mins setting up a corner or a minute on a throw-in, and who don’t award bullshit penalties.
The best team won, fairly and squarely. Get over it.
@MiguelDelaney@willpowers10 How so? Is there evidence that perceptions of Qatar or Saudi have changed due to their club ownership? Surely it’s worsened because of the way they are using those clubs?
In the same way my view of men who abuse women hasn’t altered because Al Fayed brought success to my club.
@MiguelDelaney@willpowers10 Agree it’s not what anyone would ideally want.
But if the Qatari’s think PSG are providing a veil for their abuses then they’re delusional.
And btw, Arsenal just signed a sponsorship deal with an Israeli owned company, who definitely are bombing innocent people…
@MiguelDelaney@willpowers10 One dubiously owned/run club beats the slightly less dubiously owned/run club? Neither are great.
Had Bayern or Barca lost I could’ve seen your point.
And for the soul of the game we love, a victory for Enrique’s football over Artetaball ‘is’ a victory to be grateful for.
@MiguelDelaney@willpowers10 Two things can be true at once.
I can be appalled by state ownership, & generally despair at the venality in the game.
At the same time you can marvel at the brilliance of Enrique, how his side make your heart sing, & be glad the dark, ugly, joyless game that is Artetaball lost.
