Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.
Apparently, whenever you point out facts about what’s happening in this country, you’re “kissing politicians’ ass.” Yet ask some of these same people who their MP is, which constituency they live in, when constituency day is, who their councillor is, which division they’re in, when Parliament sits, or what the CDF is and it’s pure
“mi nuh know.” 🤣
Some of unu know EVERYTHING about who Rose a date, who Akeem a bun har wid, and the latest mix-up involving Ivany, Deyma & FIO, but when it comes to understanding how Jamaica actually works, suddenly everybody clueless. Then a topic start trend and unu jump in with loud opinions, no research, no facts, just “suh di people dem seh.”
I’m a proud Labourite, and I have every reason to be. I’ve been around politics from mi eyes deh a mi knees. I know Jamaica’s political history, I’ve experienced pnp governance at every level, and I understand that democracy requires citizens to actually pay attention, participate and hold elected officials accountable. I don’t worship politicians, and I also don’t attack without knowing the facts.
The picture below was shared with me a reminder of what some of our schools looked like after Hurricane Melissa. There are 300+ others that suffered significant damage. So saying Government is “doing nothing” is simply not true.
@DamionCrawfordJ was asked during a TikTok interview why he hasn’t visited the affected schools, and he replied that he’s not a carpenter. The comrades are angry with him, and with good reason. He should absolutely be visiting affected schools and seeing the recovery efforts for himself. As the Opposition spokesman on education, his job isn’t just to talk, it’s to observe, question, challenge and educate the public with facts. Mind you, the comrades want him to criticize the pace of recovery, which is perfectly reasonable once there is logic and evidence behind the criticism.
My biggest issue is this, too many people take absolutely no interest in understanding how their country is governed, yet somehow become the loudest critics when a political topic starts trending. You cannot demand accountability from a position of ignorance. Know your country before you lecture the people who actually pay attention.
And yes, another long post for those who value reading. 📚😀✌️
Thanks @shawnwenzel for the pic of what actually happened to the schools after Hurricane Melissa
Abi-Gaye Smythe, Founder of the “I Have a Heart Foundation,” shared a heartfelt account of what can happen when advocacy meets a government that listens and acts.
She recalled meeting me in 2020 to raise concerns about the need for trained perfusionists in Jamaica’s cardiac care system. I listened and took action, leading to scholarships for perfusion medicine and the training of two Jamaican perfusionists.
As someone living with a serious heart condition and who has undergone multiple cardiac surgeries at the University Hospital of the West Indies, Abi-Gaye said she remains committed to advocating for stronger cardiac care in Jamaica.
There’s a story on Instagram about a person who has been living in a Manor Park/Waterworks complex with their cat, Shiloh, for years.
A new neighbor moved in. She clearly doesn’t like cats. She keeps trapping the cat and sends it to JSPCA without advising the owner.
The last time, she trapped the cat, the cat owners gardener tried to retrieve her but the neighbors driver took it anyway.
JSPCA claims they never received the cat.
The driver must’ve gotten fed up of taking the cat to JSPCA or the neighbor told him to get rid of the cat permanently.
The neighbor owns Total Tech, and unfortunately I know her. My company has been ordering supplies for years. I’ll stop that today.
I will call her later to ask about this situation.
I’m told she’s been putting broken glass in Tuna cans and complains openly that it’s not effective.
I’m so glad this hasn’t happened to me because I would behave irrationally. However, I want Jamaica to be a high trust community that respects people, the land and animals.
We must not let Jamaicans suffer alone without hope or compassion.
If you live in the area, maybe the cat was released. Look out for Shiloh please. 🙏

Hi Sovereign.
It’s 2026… retail is dead.
Make the space available for gaming and entertainment.
Food court and Cinema would thrive.
A small adult only sports bar on the outside.
You’re welcome. 👍
Mark Twain, is a capitalist so I am not surprised you think yourself very well-read and quoting him.
What is however, very stupid, is quoting someone with something they never said.
Twain never made that quote. What he did say however is that principles like communism and socialism are stupid.
Perhaps his most famous real quote about stupidity.
