Increasing taxes on businesses that can move country very easily isn’t the smartest move in the world. Especially when we’ve got a low tax bit of land right next to us.
I’m all for tax cuts however. Let the country grow again and the tax take will sort itself out
Andy Burnham has pledged to cut business rates for pubs by 20% if he becomes Prime Minister. He also proposed abolishing business rates entirely for cafés, hairdressing salons and retail shops. It would be funded by increasing taxes on online tech giants.
