A recent Dylan sound guy answers my niche questions about Bob-show oddities. Why are there extra mics onstage? Are all the shows recorded? Why did the crew nickname Bob The Scanner’?
Plus backstage Bobfest stories about Neil, Lou, Sinead, Sheryl and more

Watching a random tech company I had never heard of until a month ago just casually destroy one of the few places left that activity explores and supports true independent and obscure music just sucks so so much
Deep rage, sadness & frustration at the Bandcamp layoffs (along with everything else atm)
The editorial team built one of the best & most dependable platforms for independent musicians to be celebrated & discovered. Only to be gutted by corporate greed. Same story ad infinitum
Bandcamp is one of my favorite places to find music.
The work done by BC's editorial, tech and support staffs make it one-of-a-kind in an often unkind industry.
Today's layoffs today hurt. And fundamentally misunderstand what makes Bandcamp work and gave it value.

Paul Reubens/Pee-Wee Herman did literally 1,000 things in his lifetime that made me laugh out loud and not just small chuckles, but big, joyful laughs.
But nothing made me laugh more than this. It's never left my head.
RIP, Paul Reubens

ICYMI, the gods have answered our prayers.
A tape containing a high fidelity recording of the infamously erased Gaucho track "The Second Arrangement" was discovered by @Cimcie and has now been digitized, available for the world to hear

@daddyrussborris Perfectly fine to play them. Technically, the image coating leads to more surface noise, so it’s not optimal for the highest sound quality, but on a good pressing you won’t notice much of a difference, if at all.
