After 10 years running an agency, the hardest lesson was realizing clients rarely churn over one bad creative.
They churn when ROAS dips the exact week your team takes 48h to reply on a side thread.
Two weeks out from launching what we built to fix this at @getgravia 👇
Agencies don't lose clients to one bad campaign week.
They lose them to the "Deadly Combo":
→ ROAS drops 18% on Tuesday
→ Your team takes 36h to reply on Thursday
→ By Friday they're talking to another agency.
We built Gravia to catch it in real time: https://t.co/kHnA0Xme8u
some of the most important data in my clients' business never shows up in meta or google ads.
how the dealership is actually doing. real profitability. what the competitor sold last month.
i only hear it in person. never in a report.
the dashboard tells you what happened. the client tells you why.
@adamtaylorl same thing kills car ads. nice story about the weekend drive and then it ends on a price banner lol. in auto the soft cta is just come drive it
@lukethorburg was on the brand side running $10M+ a year in paid. a cheap agency never looked like a deal to me, it looked like a risk i'd have to explain later
@EcomSucker the january part is what nobody puts in the recap tbh. bf roas looks great on the november report, returns show up in a different month and a different conversation
@huntkyle the "valuable but inconsistent" bucket is the sneaky one. usually it means one person is carrying it and nobody notices until they go on vacation lol
@oliverbrocato i'd wait until the first one runs without you on every call. launching #2 while you're still the bottleneck just gets you two mediocre offers
Decision #3 building Gravia: alerts don't just say "this account is at risk". They say how long it's been waiting.
"Client asked a question 52 hours ago, no reply" lands very differently than a red dot.
And if nobody acts, it fires again 7 days later. Silence on our side is the exact thing we're trying to catch, so the tool can't go silent either.
V0 ships with a short list of integrations on purpose. Slack is next.
What's the longest a client message sat unanswered at your agency before someone noticed?

Had one of those at our agency. Long relationship, and we lost them on attention, not results. By the time they said it out loud, the decision was months old.
The tell for me now is when a client stops asking questions. Quiet agreement isn't loyalty, it's usually the start of the exit.
How do your students tell a quiet happy client from a quiet leaving one?
@DeeLemondaily Appreciate it, Diana. The part nobody warns you about is that the client never says the reply was slow. They just bring up the ROAS dip on the next call and you end up defending numbers when the real issue was trust. Took me way too many of those calls to connect it.
Step 3 is the one most car ads skip.
In automotive the enemy is rarely another brand. It's the doubt: who's the importer behind this, what happens with after sales, how does it drive on our roads.
Put that on screen early instead of more LED headlight shots and the ad starts doing the salesperson's job. Which step do you see brands cut first when they scale?
A couple of years ago my agency lost a client I still think about.
A major Japanese motorcycle brand. One of the first brands that trusted us when we were just getting started.
We didn't lose them on results. We lost them because we stopped paying attention.
Two decisions we made building Gravia that I'm still not 100% sure about:
- When an integration breaks (an expired Google Ads token, for example), we don't show a health score built on stale data. We show an amber "Reconnect required" badge and tell the agency. It looks worse in a demo. A clean number is prettier than an honest gap. But I run an agency day to day, and the worst thing a tool can do is look confident while being wrong about a client.
- We raised prices before launch. Old site said $49/$99/$199. New pricing is $99/$249/$399. Still debating whether that was brave or dumb.
First beta users are in, payments are closing this month, and we open in November. Building it from Montevideo.
Agency owners here: would you rather see a gap or a guess? And if you want to try Gravia, just let me know ;)
