@DrTweXet @DaveLeghorn @Annie168918 @ExMomentum_NHS Incorrect. ANPs like other HCPC registered AHPs are autonomous practitioners. Responsibility rests with the individual. Consultant might ‘oversee’ or be the named consultant but each individual is responsible for their own practice and patient

@Chris_Riggers I totally agree thanks for bringing some perspective. I also agree that we shouldn’t mislead. Some of the titles AHPs get are ridiculous. I’m a First Contact Practitioner. Try explaining that to patients! (For the record I keep with saying I’m a physio)

I’m an MSK physio - you wouldn’t want me treating your stroke patients. I don’t disagree with the consultant thing but please don’t generalise AHPs

@Dr_Done_ Things like this give all legit AHPs who work in extended scope roles a bad image. You know the ones who actually understand their scope of practice and don’t go for the instagram likes and follows but do their job. Really frustrating as an FCP physio!!!

Today’s #cycle trip was to #Exmouth which is about 18 km away by #bike mostly on #cyclepaths. It has been a bright sunny day but still a bit cool. This is a #photograph of the #ExeEstuary which opens out into the #EnglishChannel. It was #LowTide (1/3)

and so you can see #SandBanks in the middle of the #estuary which form a #habitat for #birds but also a #NavigationalHazard. You can see the opposite #bank too which is in #Starcross.
