Heads up functional programming practitioners! FP is quite opinionated about what constitutes a good software architecture. However, we tend to not talk about this very explicitly. We want to change that. Thus, we seek your contributions to FUNARCH 2023: https://t.co/wX0v7uDgET
Not sure who the Canadians I meet in the Frankfurt, Germany airport passport check line are, but I hope you made your flight! Thanks to you (and a fortunate delay on my connection) I made mine!
@lindsey That is a serious bummer. After the first few days I was down to sore throat and runny nose, but I basically didn’t go out for two weeks (I made one grocery pickup run after the first week), so I didn’t test again until the 14 days were up. Hope you get better soon!
@wilbowma @juspfrank @TaliaRinger@zkproofs Although the base-rtd has to do something like what you are describing @wilbowma, the fasl writer (https://t.co/jupbH8Bqrs) generates a marker for it on output and the fasl reader (fasl.c) looks for it to have been set, because it is effectively an immediate, but has structure.
@wilbowma @juspfrank @TaliaRinger@zkproofs Actually, there is very little magic here. Chez converts things like '() into (constant snil) in np-expand-primitives with a call to ptr->imm. imm->imm is defined in https://t.co/CXQJopLUx0 and the bit representations are in https://t.co/iNzNovC9Fn.
@sjohnson_ Ooo... hoping for that line that connects Seattle to the Twin Cities, then I could go all the way across the country to visit my folks on high-speed rail. (You know, when we start travelling again.)
