Water restrictions in 6 Irish counties until the end of August.
There are approximately 100 data centers in Dublin alone. I’ve no doubt they are being restricted first.
Aren’t they……………… aren’t they?
Fun Fact: The President of the goddam United States paid nearly $6 million in damages today to a woman he raped. Once upon a time, this would have been the only news you heard.
Shabana Mahmood just proscribed the IRGC, bowing to the Israel lobby.
It’s part of a National Security Bill that could jail journalists for 14 years just for doing their jobs.
This is the most authoritarian UK government in modern history, shredding our rights at the behest of a foreign state.
They’ll come for your thoughts and opinions next @lornahosford
There is a very simple reason why the UK government refuses to acknowledge the genocide in Gaza.
If they did, they would be admitting their own complicity in one of the greatest crimes of our time.
End all arms sales to Israel, now.
This’s the face of the richest man on Earth who dismantled the organization that feeds the poorest children on earth, and the result is a silent massacres.
Elon Musk is the world's richest man who killed the world's poorest children.
Everyone in the world should see his face.
Listen to the haunting silence of an ecosystem gradually dying out over half a century.
This acoustic profile captures the progressive erasure of birdsong, serving as a stark and alarming warning of catastrophic biodiversity loss. Listen closely to realize exactly what we have lost.
Populist leaders tend to have one malevolent, but highlu useful, superpower; they have a complete lack of shame. Whatever they are caught doing, & even if convicted in court, they brazen it out, cry 'lawfare' or 'witch hunt!' They rarely apologise. The absolute master of this dark art is Trump, but closer to home we see the embezzler Le Pen doing it, & the serial grifter, Farage. Their lack of shame makes them shameful & utterly unworthy of public service, even if lots of people vote for them. They are the scourge of our age.
For seven years, planners struggled to complete a $1.2 million wetland restoration project in the Brdy region of the Czech Republic. The goal was to build a dam that would improve water management and bring back valuable wetland habitat, but the project remained trapped in a maze of permits and approvals.
Then a family of eight Eurasian beavers did what engineers had planned…
without permits, machinery, or a budget.
The beavers built a network of dams in almost the exact area chosen for the proposed project, naturally restoring the wetland system officials had spent years trying to create. After seeing the results, authorities decided there was little point continuing with the original human-built dam.
Although some reports suggested the beavers completed the work overnight, experts say their construction likely took several weeks. The reason it seemed sudden is that the animals quietly worked away until their finished dams became impossible to miss.
Beavers are known as “ecosystem engineers” because their behaviour can reshape entire environments. By cutting trees and blocking streams, they create ponds and wetlands that support countless species, including fish, amphibians, insects, birds, and mammals.
Their wetlands also act as natural water reservoirs, helping during droughts, reducing flood risks, filtering water, storing carbon, and keeping landscapes wetter during wildfires.
The world’s largest known beaver dam, located in Canada’s Wood Buffalo National Park, stretches for hundreds of metres and is so vast it can be detected from space.
Once heavily hunted across Europe, beaver populations have been recovering thanks to conservation efforts, proving that sometimes nature can solve problems humans spend years trying to fix.

Scandalous.
18 months in arbitrary detention. No charge. No evidence. Torture attested by his lawyer, marks visible on his body.
And instead of covering this, @BBC amplifies Israel's unproven claims casting doubt on a hostage doctor.

Last year, Microsoft made $101 billion in profits, got a $12.5 billion tax break from Trump & paid its CEO $96 million.
This year, it’s raising the price of an Xbox by $150 & eliminating 3,200 jobs.
Please don’t tell me corporate tax breaks create jobs. It never trickles down.
A few days ago, Dr Hussam Abu Safiyeh said these words to his lawyer: “This is the last time you will see me...they brought me here to kill me. I don't see myself surviving. This is the end”.

A doctor who saved lives in #Gaza is now fighting for his own.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya - detained without charges for over 500 days- is reportedly being tortured & at an imminent risk of death in Israeli detention.
Abu Safiya is among 14 Gaza doctors (pediatricians, surgeons & other specialists) who remain detained without charge, many for more than a year.
Their continued detention deprives patients of vital care & further undermines Gaza’s shattered healthcare system.
Their release is essential to saving lives + restoring Gaza’s shattered healthcare system.
