Only Stephen A Smith could publicly reprimand an athlete when he misconstrued his comments, then double-down on his holier-than-thou blather by telling the athlete to stay in his lane because he doesn't have the infamous SAS clickbait, er, "journalistic integrity"
@RedSox Trevor Story “leading” the way with a strikeout to end the inning with men at the corners. The 3/26 w/RISP was definitely following this example
@BOSSportsGordo Obviously Cora is responsible for two SP with strained hamstrings, another with shoulder inflammation, and a fourth choking up a run per inning. Right? I mean, it’s not related to the guy who survived the blood letting to implement the run prevention strategy. Couldn’t be
The @NBCSports replay montage going into the the break at 3:01 of the third quarter of the @celtics vs @sixers game was all you needed to know about game 6. Don’t worry, the refs have the Philly dub in the bag. Absolutely atrocious
@ChrisCotillo Any interest in a package with Cole Messina? 40% CS rate at A+. They’re stockpiling at catcher and the Rox already have a couple young receivers on the 40-man. Betancourt of interest but less unlikely
Before any #Patriots fan gets upset about the next inane Cam Newton take, put the source in perspective:
Cam Newton's career Rate+ was 96. Yeah for all the hype, he was more a throwing RB than a QB.
Oh, and Drake Maye had a 96 as a rookie. Year 2? 133. Cam never topped 115.
Dear @RedSox Front office,
Please stop telling us what your offseason priorities are. From “full throttle” to a big presence in the lineup you’re bordering on looking foolish at best.

PS. Please trade the young core to someone who will invest. They deserve a chance.
So much easier for Josh Allen to play Superman when the refs help on every critical down. Four crucial penalties in the second half, none against the Bills. That’s how @NFL manufactures legend
In the last decade, the average payroll position of an ALCS/NLCS contestant is 9.5. 6 of the 40 contestants (15%) were in the bottom third of payroll but none won it all. If you ignored those bottom-third you get a clearer picture: the typical ALCS/NLCS team has a top 7 payroll
While the @Dodgers attempt to purchase a third straight World Series and 8th WS appearance in 11 years, it might spark comparisons to @Patriots. Consider this: the NFL has long had a hard cap but MLB does not. Since 2016, LAD playoff teams avg a top 3 payroll, 74% above median
@NoContextHumans If the service and food was truly exceptional? Maybe.
If the server was the all-too-common, “you’re standing between me and my money” attitude? No. Hell no
@bwils927@Hunter_Noll Eh, his BP role was mostly trying to get value while limiting IP in his first season. It’ll be shocking if he’s not a SP through August and maybe BP after that.
Long term I won’t be surprised if he’s ends up in the CL role but his value is too high as a SP not to try it year 2
