Sadly canceling our linear subscription as we just don’t use it anymore
Planning happens in a Slack canvas with very high level goals and constraints
Features gets shipped in a few hours, or days max
Roadmaps don’t get further than a month
@marcklingen@frantzfries makes sense
i guess i'm using @capydotai to do what you're doing with grok bot + linear
i've heard grok bot is 1) better at prosumer than professional use cases, and 2) doesn't do well because of their models
@jasonkempers@alexdanilowicz Long term goals are vague and unchangeable
Writing down solutions and turning them into issues for more than a month in today’s environment is a disadvantage most big company can’t avoid
@RobSwish It already has a really really good slack feature
I basically turn off my linear notifications because I get spammed from it every day on PR comments
Slack canvas: we sit down for 2 hours writing down the context of the problem, why users need this, how this fits our larger mission
then we figure out the most important questions and decisions we need to answer, and answer them
after that transform it to a to-do list of 5-10 items and we get to work
AI engineer: every engineer we have uses AI 100%, if that's what you're asking? but usually if it's something we need to sit down and talk about, we can't one-shot it ourselves yet as it requires lots of opinions and decisions
@chalaska Not really and that was my worry as well
We spend 2-3 hours intensely making product choices on what matters first, then put that into a Slack canvas
Also our entire design system is in code with md files for agents on our strongest opinions
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.
