We condemn the arrest of our colleague Bahruz Samadov (@bahruz_samad) by the govt of #Azerbaijan.
This is an attack on human rights & freedom of speech.
We call our international network to join us in demanding his release. Share widely.

Thrilled that our paper on #employment#tribunal cases and the concept of legal #disability#discrimination in #celiacdisease is out. Seeing papers published is always a joy but seeing a paper on your own medical condition been accepted is just wow!! Thanks SHI!
⚠️ @Uni_of_Essex have proposed a new Academic Framework, including (among other things) a *45-week* teaching period, up to *3* entry points for students within the year, and sweeping rigid changes to module structure.
Staff are currently being "consulted" about these proposals.
@AliWalshGF@FreeFromWriter@PaulFromTheHill@Coeliac_UK There are a few UK employment tribunals that classified coeliac disease as a disability for the individuals though, enabling them to find justice against disability discrimination at work. I think that's a huge success in itself e.g. https://t.co/DixN3u9KJh
NOT IMPRESSED 😡 This could make a coeliac seriously ill this Xmas. Hope @goodhousemag will immediately print an apology next month in time for ALL to see.
It took some sightseeing to recover from #AOM2023 after 5 intense days 😅. Had great conversations and as a bonus got to spend some time with @amonbarros & @richardlongman - wouldn’t have found my way to @cms_aom without them during the last two years!!
And this deserves its own little post: I had the privilege to present work from my PhD in the presence of @fesauerbronn 🥹 which felt a bit unreal. One of those moments to remember 😊
Officially #PhDone 🥳 such an honour to share this unforgettable moment with my colleagues & mentors @Essex_EBS yesterday. I want to thank my BE133 students who cheered unbelievably loud- what a moment to remember❣️ @EssexPostgrads
