🧵 Kubernetes Enters Its Second Decade: Insights from KubeCon Chicago
This @KubeCon_ was very different from the previous ones. Here are some key insights 👇

Loved the eBPF documentary! Would've been great to see Brenden Blanco mentioned. IIRC, he created bcc with help from others. Kudos for putting it all together!

It comprises three modules:
1. Risk Ledger: Identify, prioritize and address risks before they cause incidents
2. Artifact Register: Stay up to date with visibility across all your infra layers
3. Upgrade Copilot: Cut weeks of upgrade prework to days and execute upgrades safely
🎉 The Chkk Kubernetes Availability Platform is available today. It installs in minutes and integrates into your existing tools and workflows.

We've had the pleasure of working with Sequoia-backed @chkk_io since its early days. My all-time favorite founder moments were late nights building UI together on @SubframeApp over @zareens_CA's chicken tikka masala.
Huge congrats, Chkk is incredible – go check them out! 👏
I love working with startups where the name is a geeky inside joke. The @chkk_io name comes from chkdsk - the DOS check disk command, and the extra k is for checking the status of #Kubernetes. https://t.co/blk4cNXiBH via @techcrunch
I also happen to be working with a lot of cybersecurity companies, and CVEs are well publicized. It immediately made sense to me that there should be a database of Availability Risk Signatures, i.e. the toxic configuration combinations that lead to downtime.
Congrats to @fawadkhaliq and the rest of the @chkk_io team on the public launch!
An incredible group of brilliant infrastructure engineers, we had the pleasure of meeting during @sequoia Arc and have been trading infra notes since
& we’ll be @KubeCon_ together next month!
