@emilykmay@aaron061116 I'm older and in a different stage of life. You often get me to think about many topics in a different way that I appreciate. I don't know that I could contribute to your community, but I'd miss your voice if you left.
@alyssaleann Yes! This aligns with the experience of authors (can I get a free book?), artists (can you draw X for me?), and small retailers (can I get a discount on this sale price?). We have to PAY them for the value they provide!
@garonnevik When I was little, I saw some towels on boxes in the office and went to clean them up. They were hiding Christmas presents, ha! I went through them and quickly realized I didn't want to know. π
@EruditeTogether Sorry to hear you were made to feel guilty about this. This feels like one of those topics that uselessly creates unneeded conflict.
Love homeschooling? Great! Love private school? Great! Love public school? Great!
Just be kind toward other decisions.
@RealRodLacroix My dog insists on being accompanied or she won't pee or poop. This morning it's -18 here (-40 with windchill) and she still was playing around before she'd go.
@drterrysimpson As someone who lost 65 lbs on a GLP-1, once my food noise was gone I wasn't constantly battling myself. I'm convinced that not everyone has food noise, so they don't understand the problem. It was an immediate relief for me when it was gone.
@CoffeeBlackMD I used tirzepatide, lost 65 pounds. Stopped ~1 month ago. My "food noise" returned, strong as ever. I am *compelled* to eat too much. I will go back on it to help me keep off the weight. If you don't have food noise, you're lucky. Critics can back off those of us who have it.
@k_ovfefe2 Ours is called brain jello. My husband wanted something that's "uniquely our tradition" when his Nanna gave us the responsibility of hosting holidays: cranberry jello in a brain-shaped mold. It's unique, for sure!
@Shaunpcassidy Just saw you in Milwaukee (adjacent π). Enjoyed it so much! My childhood BFF and I were obsessed with Hardy Boys, you were my crush. To be a complete bummer, she died last night (long-term illness) so it was exactly right spending the evening with you. π
