🚨 He Bought You Food But Didn't Buy For Himself — What Does It Mean?
Okay, this one needs its own section because the internet is DIVIDED.
Here's the breakdown:
Scenario 1: He's being generous and testing the waters
He wants to treat you. He's not hungry or ate earlier. He's watching how you receive a gift. This is sweet — receive it gracefully.
Scenario 2: He's financially stretched but didn't want to say no
He wanted to impress you. He couldn't afford both. He chose you. That's actually kind of noble — don't make it weird.
Scenario 3: He's checking your character
Some men do this intentionally to see if you'll offer to share, say thank you, or act entitled. It's a soft test. Pass it with grace.
Scenario 4: He genuinely just isn't hungry
Sometimes a man just isn't hungry. Not everything is deep. 😂
I saw an episode of the TV show where an autistic doctor reads how sincere a smile is by looking out for a Duchenne marker. He may not be able to read non-verbal cues but he looked out for Duchenne marker.
Laugh genuinely on a date. If it's not funny don't force it. Smile and that's polite enough. The intention is to put the other person at ease. A social smile is fine, but never force a laughter.
You can gather ALL the information you need — location, vibe, dress code, restaurant type — without ever mentioning money.
Elegant women extract information gracefully. They ask about the experience, not the price tag. And honestly? A man who is intentional about a date will usually tell you what to expect without being asked. You are familiar with that statement
"Order anything you want on the menu"
Hey! Let's talk about why you don't want to appear as low maintenance 😄
Or you ordering the cheapest thing just to seem low-maintenance.
Either way, it's still about putting on a mask. You want to create an impression and paint a picture.
You can get a grasp of how much the guy wants to spend when you ask some questions. It depends on how you put out the question.
"What kind of vibe are you going for?" And not "What's your budget"
That may seem disrespectful or you're implying that the guy is stingy.
Ask ahead if you can dress casual or be all dressed up.
All dressed up means you're going to a fancy restaurant.
Order food base on the information you gather instead of trying not to appear cheap or understanding. Be yourself.
Trying not to appear cheap boils down on your self-worth. But this is another day's topic.
Trying to appear understanding could that you're considerate, or playing the wife-material. That's misleading
When a gal plans to connect with you - he rarely would make his friends tag along on a date.
Turning a date for two to a group hangout isn't cool at all.
You're meant to be on a date with one, but now you're on a mission to impress four women...friends. and maybe impress the dog too. 😅
It's no fun at all. The guy will be stiff, guarded, and trying to impress instead of genuinely connecting with one.
And really, this is no way to get to know a person.
The Golden Rule of Dating
Elegance isn't about what you wear. It's about how you make people feel.
A man who takes you out is investing time, thought, and money. Meet that energy with warmth, class, and genuine presence. ❌ Being glued to your phone isn't you being present.
❌ Talking to your friends on the phone isn't being present.
And please don't invite them. There's a reason it's called a DATE.
