i want alicent to tell rhaenyra about jasper/aemond/everything she’s endured to keep her promise. i want rhaenyra to understand the depths of alicent’s loyalty to her. i want rhaenyra to prove herself in turn to alicent by the end of the season

today my (F34) childhood friend turned enemy turned girlfriend (F35) of 20 years beheaded my dad after i removed every possible threat so that she could peacefully take her throne. it was kinda hot but also its my dad so what would you do in this situation?
no like I fully expected rhaenyra to look angry or at least "regal" to an extent and when they cut to her looking so ashamed and desperate i screamed... this shit is so serious to me
Everyone is like "Oh my god Rhaenyra is gonna be so mad at Alicent" oh "Rhaenyra is gonna lock Alicent up for losing Aegon" while RHAENYRA is the one thats actually in the dog house
@alicents_lawyer imagine the power we would have had though if the FINALE of the season closed with alicent and rhaenyra look at each other in yearning...
also because it was the deal anyway? she planned to take her daughter and granddaughter and flee the city. she had to do it unnoticed because she knew she'd be punished if people knew of her betrayal (and it happened when jasper attacked her)
Alicent moving borderline suicidally to fulfill her promise to Rhaenyra, to her own freedom. The realization that a life chained to duty, patriarchy is worse than death itself.
@alicents_lawyer and I bet they are the same complaining that the show is not book accurate as if the "brothel queens" thing was not the exact same idea
@alicents_lawyer it's really crazy that people are not seeing why a show that explores 1) the suffering of women under patriarchy 2) the suffering of people during war would explore the specific violence that women suffer during war... and sexual violence as punishment is unfortunately common
