Not everyone is able to fully embody themselves, achieve their dreams, pursue their goals, for all sorts of reasons, systemic & traumatic.
I hope to fight & right these inequities.
And at death, if I can help my patient be themselves, even for the briefest moment—I will.
@helenrottier My two day inpatient psych in a hospital was awful. A room where everything was bolted down, no phone, none of the medication for my chronic illness, and couldn’t to go the bathroom for hours because another patient was having meltdowns and biohazarding the one restroom.

@Billboy922404 @ineptacanis @StacyCaySlays@ErinInTheMorn Next time they post a dangerous weather warning where you live, just ignore it because no one can predict the weather.
@ET_Californian Oh so you’re just trying to flex? Food doesn’t have to be over priced and plated with tweezers to be enjoyable. Classist moral judgement about food makes you look like a prick.
@ShaneRosengren @B1844Constance@autocorrect2_0@PaxBaku @AnneUndone1 I have two long term partners, and I am able to maintain intimacy and connection. This is partly because I receive the same support in return. Not everyone wants or has that capacity, and that’s fine. It’s the attitude that monogamy is somehow inherently better that I question
@ShaneRosengren @B1844Constance@autocorrect2_0@PaxBaku @AnneUndone1 Polyamorous people do this too. Again communication is key. Talking about boundaries and what makes someone feel respected should be part of any relationship, and not just assumed because you’re monogamous.
