The Government paid a firm linked to a Tory peer £122m for PPE that had been bought for just £46m.

@janinematheson I hate them too, but when I had my email address on my site I got so much spam, timewasters, even a few trolls, it got too much to manage as a single person trying to run my own practice! The form helps make it more manageable and less pressure
Vladimir Putin's government has launched a major, unprovoked, imperial war.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine 🇺🇦and reject Putin's mendacious excuses for this act of aggression.
Good call from @scottish_water on the need to reduce the impact of single use wipes containing plastic. About 25 wipes were recorded on average for every 100m of beach surveyed in Scotland last year #naturecalls https://t.co/rA7temwtE6

Of course you should. Just get on with it! If you revert to the two years of evidence and work previously carried out, you might also include single use coffee cups!
The government has operated on the assumption that people get ‘outrage fatigue’ after a few days. But I can’t get out of my mind all those - mostly elderly - people who spent Christmas 2020 alone. For many, it was their last Christmas. Stay outraged. There must now be justice.
Minister for @borisjohnson says PM "takes this seriously". Really? PM absent, Government frontbench absent, answers absent. On 20 May people missed funerals, died alone, could only meet 1 person outside - people are angry. Inviting 100 to this party won't be forgiven or forgotten
If you’re Prime Minister and you’ve told people the rules are so strict you can’t even visit a dying relative but you then go to a bring your own wine party of 100 people, I’m afraid you can’t be the Prime Minister anymore. It’s that simple.

"We don’t prioritize the climate today. Our goal isn't to lower emissions. Our goal is to find solutions that allow us to continue life today. Of course you can ask “Can’t we have both?” But the uncomfortable truth is that we've left it too late for that."

“It’s funny and terrifying because it conveys a certain cold truth that climate scientists and others who understand the full depth of the climate emergency are living every day.” –Peter Kalmus, climate scientist #DontLookUp
Unless we achieve immediate, drastic, unprecedented, annual emission cuts at the source then that means we’re failing when it comes to this climate crisis.
“Small steps in the right direction”, “making some progress” or “winning slowly” equals loosing.

Here's my article about who we are, why we're trapped, why we are heading for planetary collapse, and what we must do to prevent it. It might not be saying much, but I think this is the best thing I've written. https://t.co/l9aLVivMZt
The sort of green activities that all of us can carry out and some of us do, like recycling plastic bottles, will never have much effect. Only action at government level, like making plastic bottles illegal, would begin to make a slight difference.
