And lo and behold, after this, TGC issued their anti-AI policy (which fine to have a policy, but it was done with a very particular subtext) then one of their best known personalities (@gavinortlund) issues an over the top warning about the dangers of AI and it’s potential for destroying humanity.

I need Christians to remember that everything Fauci knew, Collins knew. All of the same experts who were telling Fauci that the virus was likely man-made were telling Collins the same thing.

And yet not one Christian journalist or public figure who interviewed Collins during the Covid era offered even the slightest pushback on his obviously questionable claims about the origins of the virus.

It should embarrass Christians how gullible and naïve (at best) our leaders were when it came to this authoritarian government overreach. Rather than question it, they supported it.

Christianity Today, The Gospel Coalition, the Billy Graham Association at Wheaton, the ERLC, and more—all of them not only unquestioningly accepted Collins’ questionable narrative, they shamed other Christians who wisely questioned it. They even went so far as to tell us we were sinning for questioning it.

Yet to this day, NOT ONE has apologized or repented for this behavior. Not one has admitted they made a mistake and would do something different in the future. They have removed the articles they wrote at this time. They have ignored questions about these interviews and they have shaken pharisaical fingers at those asking for accountability.

They tell us we must simply move on from the Covid era and continue to respect their leadership despite their abuse of authority.

We are told that it is unloving to continue to mention how they discredited themselves and abused their authority or to expect them to ever address it.

Well, I’m sorry, but that’s not biblical justice. Brothers do need to forgive brothers, but when leaders abuse their positions of leadership in the church, they need to repent and acknowledge what they did. Because it hurt people in real and substantial ways.

The belligerent insistence that we sweep this past under the rug without ever having any real reckoning is arrogance and stiff neckness, pure and simple.

What did you think was going to happen after we legalized #GayMarriage?

That same-sex couples would finally be able to visit one another in the hospital? Inherit property? Make medical decisions? Many of those legal protections were already available through powers of attorney, contracts, and other legal arrangements.

What #Obergefell enabled was something else.

It accelerated the legal replacement of biological parenthood with intent-based parenthood.

It made it easier to detach children from their mother or father and reattach them to biological strangers so same-sex couples could be "equal" to husband-wife couples.

It conditioned an entire culture to repeat, “Love makes a family,” by threatening them with social isolation if they refused.

It permitted scrubbing “mother” and “father” from parentage laws and replacing them with "gestating" and "non-gestating" parent in the name of non-discrimination.

It made politicians afraid to defend the importance of mothers and fathers because genderless families had been upheld by the country's highest court.

The lasting legacy of #Obergefell has not simply been the redefinition of marriage. It has been the unmaking of the American family by erasing mother and father, both in law and culture.

Truly: it's uncanny. The first two human beings born into history are, respectively, a good, honest productive man and his brother, who allows himself to be consumed by resentment and the desire to destroy.

And people HAVE checked — for centuries, often trying to break it. Skeptics mocked Luke’s “Lysanias of Abilene” as an error…

UNTIL an inscription naming Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene turned up.

Pilate was called legend by some… until the Pilate Stone was dug up at Caesarea in 1961 with his name and title carved in it.

Luke 1:3-4 tells you why: “Having followed all things closely… that you may have CERTAINTY.”

Certainty. That’s the offer.

One book floats above history where nothing can touch it.

The other planted its flag in checkable ground and said: dig.

They dug. It’s still standing.

Praise the Lord and His mighty God-Breathed scripture.
