Before I can start I will like to remind everyone including certain people watching the situation that everything I say is ALLEGED so please do not come for me- NDAs seem to be veryyy plausible when it comes to a company like CatFace. This is a huge reason why many current and ex-employees legally cannot talk about the situation in a public setting. Its why there have been a ton of posts that don’t necessarily call out CatFace and the Aphmau team but we know what they are talking about. The job market is rough and rocky and unfortunately I can bet that employees kinda just sit and deal with it because its the only job they have. Of course again this is all ALLEGED… It also seems that AI is deeply rooted into the company when it comes to the art and writing departments. Not sure if there is more of it being used in other parts of the company but I wouldn’t put it past them. I will say while yes a good majority of human written that doesn’t entirely push the idea out that certain head is using AI to the writers and forcing them to use the AI slop generated plot line. I mean how long has AI been out for..? A couple years? Doesn’t seem like something they could miss out. Now for the art department the thing that brought the issue into the light like the Aphmau Back to School Graphic, the 6 toed comic con artwork, the meemeow claw machine artwork and honestly probably other stuff too that no one knows about. I mean what more can they do than save a few more bucks for themselves than AI generate assets and stuff on artwork. I mean isn’t it a little suspicious we have been getting tons of merch releases for the past half year? I mean I do wonder how Yen P. feels that their artwork was fed into AI to try to make it look better anyways remember guys this is all alleged! I don’t know why companies like to pretend that AI is gonna save the world when all it saves is the money in their pocket. They parade the idea that AI is gonna be used “ethically” but yeah sure What’s more ethical than creative talents losing jobs they genuinely loved to do. My heart goes out to so many people who lost their Jobs to AI. On the topic of loosing jobs I think we should also talk about the old glassdoor reviews I think we moved on way too fast from them. They told us that it was just people who were jealous or angry right? I mean I didn’t know a single company can be so perfect with sunshine and rainbows. BUT OF COURSE THIS IS ALL ALLEGED GUYS! I mean no company is perfect right but multiple reviews I mean MULTIPLE about how toxic the work environment is? I mean you can write it off once as someone being jealous… then two starts getting suspicious then it grows then clearly there’s something wrong with the company. Bullying from higher ups if I remember correctly was a huge issue. Playing with peoples lives and playing it off as “oh they’re just mad we fired them” well yeah when they get treated like shit I would be too! I think we have to remember this isn’t the same Jess and Jason we remember from our childhood they’ve changed a lot… Did I forget to say this is alleged? Well again for safe measure ya know. 1/2
