It was an honour to meet and pray with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex this morning. I’m deeply grateful for his gracious welcome at the Apostolic Palace.
In the years to come, I will remain united with the Pope in prayer – for peace in our world, for justice, and for every person to discover the fullness of life that God offers.
The ecumenical pilgrimage is always one we make together, as a fellowship of Christians seeking the unity for which Christ prayed. Your Holiness, as your sister in Christ, in a spirit of prayer, friendship, and hope, I commend our shared journey into the hands of God.

“We join our sisters and brothers all over the world as we set aside the days between Ascension and Pentecost to pray, to welcome the presence of The Holy Spirit in our lives and in our churches, and to pray for the Kingdom of God to come in our villages, towns and cities, and in the hearts of all.”
May these words from The Right Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Bishop of Dover be an invitation to pray together this #ThyKingdomCome, and a reminder that this season of prayer is for every one of us. 🙏
For years, our bishops have made submissions to the pre-budget consultation process and responded to the budget. This year’s response is an open statement expressing our deep disappointment that our recommendations continue to go unheeded. #onpoli https://t.co/s1kc5FkXQL
The Archbishop of Canterbury has joined Pope Leo XIV in calling for peace.
In a statement issued today, the Archbishop says 'I stand with my brother in Christ, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, in his courageous call for a kingdom of peace. As innocent people are killed and displaced, families torn apart, and futures destroyed, the human cost of war is incalculable. It is the calling of every Christian – and of all people of faith and goodwill – to work and pray for peace.'
The statement also notes: 'Time spent with Anglican Primates from across the Communion at my installation in Canterbury was a reminder of how many conflicts continue beyond the front pages of our news, yet demand no less our concern and prayer.'

THE LATEST: Most of us don’t live in Easter Sunday — we live in the in-between. “Every Day is Holy Saturday” names that space and invites us to trust God there: https://t.co/HH0uKtwF0q
Nothing about Jesus’ entrance fits the script for power. Palm Sunday reminds us that God meets us not with force, but with a love that calls us to see the world differently. https://t.co/s8eHvQ45ZV
