Highland Liberal Democrat candidate for Westminster election. Promoted by P W-Ingram on behalf of A MacDonald, 123 High Street, Fort William, PH33 6DG.
Our South of Scotland MSP Duncan Dunlop made his first speech at Holyrood today.
His speech focused on the failure of the SNP Government to fulfil the Promise to care experienced young people and the need to overhaul the care system in Scotland.
@SirWins67879341@MathewHulbert@PolFrenemies Hardly, in the Highlands we won the maximum of three Scottish Parliaments possible. Huge swing from the SNP. We increased our seats from 4 to 10 and narrowly missed several more. LibDems growing nicely.
@CollaAlasdair@justinbowie1997@LochaberVoice Alastair, massive swing from SNP to LibDems. We had no Highland MSP’s and we now have three…….just saying.
PS My family have lived in the Highlands forever, I was in a Highland Regt, play the pipes, did play shinty and support the Highlands 100%.
@kmacraeplockton Yes, v disappointed for Neil Alexander who very nearly over turned a massive SNP majority. If he had won then Morven-May would not have got a lost seat. So we still got a hat trick
Very proud of the Highlands sending three new LibDem MSP’s to Holyrood, Andrew Baxter, Morven-May McCallum and David Green. A massive swing from the SNP to us.
Our Neil Alexander just missed landing Inverness despite a 23% increase in LibDem votes.
