1/ i got tired of losing good X Articles in bookmarks.
so i built a tiny MCP that saves them straight into Obsidian.
one command:
X Article -> markdown note
images downloaded locally
videos saved too
boring tool. immediately useful.
klaviyo said our popup converted at 28.95%.
most of the subscribers were me testing it.
profile-level data put the real historical rate near 2%.
tiny denominator + test traffic can manufacture a beautiful dashboard. pull the rows first.
my cofounder screenshared his house on facetime. i took 8 screenshots.
claude mapped every ad beat to a camera position and caught private items in frame, a backlit gazebo and the wrong monitor content.
location photos beat location descriptions. every time.
almost switched to warp for a “better terminal.”
claude code checked WT_SESSION and told me i was already using windows terminal.
10 minutes later:
nerd font
starship
one tab per agent
esc esc to edit
--resume to switch chats
turns out it was a skill issue
i stopped trying to make claude code, codex and gemini remember each other.
they all read the same markdown instead.
one canonical user file.
one project context.
thin loader for each tool.
same workspace. different brains. the continuity lives in files, not chats.
@Mejedkot this is a good mcp use case.
small repetitive workflow
already has a source of truth
human still approves the final public thing
that's way more useful than trying to make it fully autonomous.
