Argentina were abysmal today. No attacking intent, needless roughhousing, and the inevitable red card summed up a night where nothing seemed to go right.

I feel terrible for Messi, because he deserved a better ending after dragging this team to yet another final.

Football can be cruel sometimes. But this tournament was a journey of incredible highs and painful lows, and Leo gave us yet another reminder of why he is truly one of a kind.
