My friend who sits on Wall Street and makes $1.5M trading stocks saved me from debt.
Just by sending me a 54-second video and saying:
"This is how money is actually made now."
Claude Sonnet 5 completely took over his TradingView, analyzes charts, gives signals and fully controls his mental state while trading.
I watched it and realized I've been trading like it's 2010 while he was using AI and not worrying about a thing.
Watch the video below then read the article.
NEW LONG FORM VIDEO: Why the Pickleball boom is already over
Pickleball is doomed. And I say that as someone who plays three times a week and absolutely loves the game.
Just last month, Apollo, one of the largest private equity firms in the world, invested $225 million in a pickleball-adjacent business. At the same time, one of the major manufacturers of pickleball equipment has lost nearly $14 million since it launched, and one of the biggest franchise companies helping people open pickleball facilities recently stopped selling new franchises.
The crazy thing about pickleball is that the very factors that made it explode in popularity may also be the things that ultimately lead to its decline.
So what happens when America's fastest-growing sport runs headfirst into the realities of business? That's what this video is about.
Strange that I haven't seen any analysis of the new Illinois transaction and custody tax of digital assets that recognizes that it would apply to TOKENIZED SECURITIES...
Unless I am reading it wrong (and I am no lawyer, so PLEASE correct me if I am), this law would mean that tokenized stocks, handled by a corporation that derives $100,000 in revenue from Illinois residents or based in Illinois, would be subject to a 20 basis point tax on ALL transactions in such securities. (This is multiples of the current transaction costs, including spread, for most financial products.)
THAT would make all Chicago based market makers unprofitable instantly in the High Frequency trading and make the CBOE unable to participate in tokenized securities for the same reason. Meanwhile the CME spreads on digital products will widen dramatically, due to increased hedging costs... (For now, that is limited to Bitcoin, Ether and other crypto futures, but WILL end up being all stock futures at some point)
It also means that Chicago firms will be uncompetitive in weekend and overnight markets, as the banking system doesn't operate, while STABLE COINS, subject to the tax, do. That means their cost for moving collateral would be non competitive...
I hope I am wrong, but this seems to be disastrous for Chicago as the CME and CBOE are major sources of employment...
