We’re renaming our Max plans:
Max 5x → Max
Max 20x → Ultra
Max is still $100/month, and Ultra is still $200. If you’re a subscriber, there’s nothing you need to do.
We’re also removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting today with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until they’re verified, which helps us prevent fraud and abuse. You'll get an email when it's removed.
Weekly limits remain unchanged. View our plans here: https://t.co/niRpyGF5Me
Imagine picking up your guitar and it just flat-out refuses to play covers.
Originals only. No toggle to bypass it.
That's apparently Claude Code with games right now. Build your own? Fine. Remake a classic? Hard block.
Kinda wild when the instrument gets the final say on what you're allowed to play
Gemini 4 Carbon just brought home a 69 on Humanity's Last Exam and it's the highest grade in the entire class.
In any normal school that's a D+.
Opus 5.5 got a 68, no tools for anyone, 1,000 questions of pure pain. Anthropic, OpenAI, I'll be waiting at the parent-teacher conference 😤
We've launched our HLE-Diamond leaderboard, our independent evaluation of the refined 1,000-question version of Humanity's Last Exam, as part of v5 of the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index
HLE-Diamond was released by @CAIS and @scale_AI after a year of cleaning and refining the original Humanity's Last Exam dataset with input from the research community. It has 1,000 closed-ended questions, split evenly between reasoning and knowledge, and 272 of them include an image.
We run every question once without tools, using the official HLE system prompt. GPT-5.6 Luna (medium) grades each answer against the reference answer with the official HLE judge prompt, and we report the share of questions judged correct (pass@1).
Key takeaways:
➤ Only 17 model variants (~13%) score above 50% today: Gemini 4 Carbon (high) leads at 69%, followed by Claude Opus 5.5 (max) at 68%
➤ Models score higher on reasoning than on knowledge: Over 90% of the models we measured do better on the reasoning portion of the benchmark. Gemini 4 Carbon (high) leads both, at 80% on reasoning and 59% on knowledge. Claude Opus 5.5 (max) and GPT-6 Astra (max) both score 78% on reasoning, and Opus 5.5 is ahead on knowledge, 58% vs 50%
➤ Open weights models trail by more than 30 points: Kimi K3.1 Pro (weights not yet released) is the top open weights model at 37%, followed by MiniMax-M3.1-Flash at 28% and Kimi K3 (max) at 27%
The new Claude Code game rules everyone's losing their mind over:
Original games, genres, or using your own assets? Still fine.
Cloning a specific existing title? Apparently a hard no now, even if you rename it.
A platformer with your own cat character ships. A Mario clone gets blocked.
Casual devs won't care. Modders are gonna hate this 😬
ANTHROPIC IS CRACKING DOWN ON VIDEO GAME REWRITES 🚨
Claude Code picked up a new rule around Oct 27, sent from Anthropic’s servers under a flag called "tengu_heron_brook". There’s no setting to turn it off.
The full rule: “Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user’s own designs and assets. Don’t build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.”
Is this the end of game rewrites, modding and everything in between?
Anthropic's junior technical hiring dropped from 27% to 9% since early 2025.
The ladder isn't gone, but the bottom rungs are getting sawed off.
People keep asking when AI takes their job, but the real nightmare is how anyone even lands their first one now.
