I attended my cousin’s Stanford commencement today, my first time in the audience and 16 years after graduating myself.
I thought the entire program was exceptionally well done. The ceremony was short, focused, and refreshingly free of self-congratulation. The President (and all the deans) clearly know how special Stanford is, but there wasn’t an ounce of arrogance on display. If anything, there was a healthy dose of humor. It reminded me of something I’ve always appreciated about the university: Stanford takes its work very seriously, but doesn’t take itself too seriously (see: the President swapping his graduation cap for a tree hat a parent gave him!)
Sundar Pichai was an excellent commencement speaker. And while a small group of students walked out, there was remarkably little disruption. The ceremony continued uninterrupted, the protesters left after a few minutes, and everyone else carried on.
The Wacky Walk was alive and well. As usual, the GSB crowd seemed to be having the most fun. And sitting in the June sun was every bit as challenging as I remember from my own graduation.
Sixteen years later, it was a joy to be back. Days like this remind me how fortunate I was to spend years there, and how proud I am to be a Stanford alum.
Dear Micron Management,
Enough is enough.
Micron’s stock is being openly pressured by short sellers who are spreading FUD and using aggressive short selling to distort the price. False, ridiculous, and misleading narratives are being pushed into the market while management remains too quiet. This is hurting shareholder confidence and damaging the company’s market value.
Micron is not a weak company. Micron is a critical pillar of the AI, data center, and memory ecosystem. The fundamentals are strong. The long-term outlook is strong. The company’s strategic importance is obvious. Yet the market is being flooded with noise, and that noise is being used to pressure the stock unfairly.
Now is the time to act.
Micron management should immediately:
1.Publicly reject and correct false narratives.
2.Defend the company’s real business strength with stronger and more direct communication.
3.Accelerate share repurchases at these unjustifiably depressed levels.
https://t.co/VJqWCck0EU the market that management will not sit back while short sellers and fear-driven misinformation attack shareholder value.
Shareholders should not be left to fight this battle alone. The silence is no longer helping. It is encouraging the wrong actors.
Please respond clearly, forcefully, and without delay.

A congressional committee sent a letter to AG Pam Bondi re-upping its referral of former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for prosecution, accusing him of lying during testimony before the panel as it was investigating the pandemic. https://t.co/u8K3AiU3rv
Travelers beware! @Bookingcom didn’t refund my air tickets (40-561890335), though I canceled within 4 hrs. They kept 90% of my money, despite advertising 'free cancellation.' Unlike most U.S. sites with a 24-hr policy, https://t.co/T4zCjIO235 doesn't care. It's daylight robbery!

It’s crazy how life works sometimes. I get to work with my mom, at the same hospital in the same department. She has been a janitor here for 18 years. She raised a Latina physician in the making! Thank you ama, I am so proud to be your daughter! #MedTwitter@LatinasInMed
How I’m making money this year vs last yr is completely different. Different markets with a different strategy, but same mindset of execution. Take a lot from what’s working, give little when they’re not. Strategy edges come & go, a traders true edge is recognizing these moments.
