उत्तराखंड के बागेश्वर जिले से एक ऐसी कहानी सामने आई है, जो पलायन की समस्या के बीच उम्मीद की नई किरण बन रही है।
यहां पारंपरिक खेती को बंदरों और जंगली सूअरों के कारण भारी नुकसान हो रहा था, जिससे किसान गांव छोड़ने को मजबूर थे।
इसी चुनौती के बीच IAS आकांक्षा कोंडे ने जिलाधिकारी (DM) रहते हुए एक अनोखी पहल शुरू की।
उन्होंने किसानों को कुटकी की खेती के लिए प्रेरित किया, जो एक महत्वपूर्ण हिमालयी औषधीय पौधा है।
कुटकी की खास बात यह है कि इसकी जड़ दवाइयों में उपयोग होती है और जंगली जानवर इसे नुकसान नहीं पहुंचाते।
यह पौधा ठंडे क्षेत्रों में, लगभग 1000 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर आसानी से उगाया जा सकता है।
एक बार रोपाई के बाद करीब 3 साल में यह किसानों को अच्छी आय देने लगता है।
आज बागेश्वर में लगभग 10 हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र में 11 लाख कुटकी के पौधे लगाए जा चुके हैं।
इस पहल से न सिर्फ खेती सुरक्षित हुई, बल्कि किसानों की आमदनी भी बढ़ी है।
जिला प्रशासन खुद उत्पाद की बिक्री में मदद कर रहा है, जिससे किसानों को सही मूल्य मिल रहा है।
300 से अधिक महिलाएं स्वयं सहायता समूहों के जरिए इस अभियान से जुड़ चुकी हैं।
कुछ समूहों की सालाना आय 55 लाख रुपये तक पहुंच गई है, जो एक बड़ी उपलब्धि है।
यह पहल दिखाती है कि सही सोच और नेतृत्व से पलायन को रोका जा सकता है- IAS आकांक्षा कोंडे हम सभी के लिए एक सच्ची प्रेरणा हैं।
