లలితక్క కుటుంబం నల్గొండ జిల్లా నాంచారపేట్ గ్రామం నుండి పేదరికం వల్ల జీవనోపాధి కోసం భువనగిరి వలస వచ్చింది. పదహారేళ్ల వయస్సు నుండే కాటన్ స్పిన్నింగ్ మిల్లో పనికి వెళ్ళేది, ఒక పక్క కూలీగానే పని చేస్తూ మరొక పక్క సామాజిక ఉద్యమాల్లో పాటలు పాడేది.

మహిళా హక్కుల కోసం మహిళా స్రవంతిని ఏర్పాటు చేసి మహిళలని చైతన్య పరిచేది. అణగారిన కులాల, గొల్ల కురుమల హక్కుల కోసం, ఫ్లోరైడ్ నీటి సమస్యల మీద, సారా, వ్యభిచార, బీడీ, గుట్కా వ్యతిరేక పోరాటాలలో పాటలు పాడుతూ, అప్పటిదాకా తెలంగాణాలో సభలు, ఉద్యమాలలో పురుషులే తప్ప స్త్రీలు పెద్ద చురుకుగా పాల్గొని తరుణంలో తన జానపద పాటతో జనాల్లో చైతన్యం తీసుకువస్తూ ప్రజా గాయకురాలిగా ఎదిగింది. ఎవరు సభకి పిలిచినా వెళ్లి తన గళం విప్పేది.

అప్పటిదాకా స్థానిక సమస్యల మీద గళం విప్పిన లలితక్కని తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ఉద్యమంలో చేరమని దళిత నాయకుడు మారోజు వీరన్న ప్రోత్సాహించాడు. వీరన్న ప్రేరణతో లలితక్క క్రియాశీల రాజకీయాల్లోకి అడుగు పెట్టింది.

1997 మార్చ్ లో భువనగిరిలో జరిగిన దగాపడ్డ తెలంగాణ సభకి నలభై వేల మంది జనం హాజరయ్యారు. లలితక్క తన పాటలతో సభ ప్రాంగణాన్ని దద్దరిల్లేలా చేసింది, ఏప్రిల్ లో జరిగిన తెలంగాణ మహా సభలో కూడా లలితక్క గళం విప్పింది. ఆ గానానికి అశేషజనం ఫిదా అయిపోయారు, వేలాదిమందిని ఉత్తేజ పరిచింది.

ఆ రెండు సభలతో లలితక్క స్థాయి పెరిగింది. తెలంగాణా అంతటా లలితక్క పేరు మారుమ్రోగింది.

ఈ సభల ద్వారా రాష్ట్రమంతటా ఆదరణ లభించి తెలంగాణ ప్రజలు ఎంతో ప్రేమగా లలితక్కని మహిళా గద్దర్ అని, నైటింగేల్ అఫ్ తెలంగాణ గాన కోకిల అని బిరుదునిచ్చారు.

లలితక్క స్థాయి అంచెలంచలుగా పెరిగి, ప్రజామద్దతు పెరగడంతో లాలూ యాదవ్ ఒక మీటింగ్ లో లలితక్కని ఎమ్మెల్యే చేస్తానని చెప్పడం జరిగింది, అలానే సమాజ్ వాదీ పార్టీ నుండి కూడా భువనగిరి ఎమ్మెల్యే టికెట్ ఇస్తాం అని 1999 మే 23న ప్రకటించారు.

అలా రాజకీయ అరంగేట్ర ప్రకటన వెలువడిన మూడు రోజుల తరువాత..

బెల్లి లలిత అదృశ్యం అయ్యింది, నిన్నటి నుండి కనపడట్లేదు అని భువనగిరి స్టేషన్లో మిస్సింగ్ కంప్లైంట్ నమోదైంది. పోలీసులు విచారణ ప్రారంభించారు.

మే 29, 1999

దర్గా బావిలో ఎవరిదో శరీర భాగం దొరికింది అనడంతో ఒక్కసారిగా జనమంతా ఉల్లిక్కిపడ్డారు. అందరు అవి లలితక్కవేమో అని భయపడ్డారు, కానీ ప్రభుత్వం అవి లలితక్కవి కాదని బుకాయించింది.

జూన్ 03, 1999

పోలీసులు ఏదో దాస్తున్నారని, వాస్తవాలు బయటపెట్టాలని ప్రజాసంఘాలు ధర్నాలు ప్రారంభించాయి. తెలంగాణ జన సభ సభ్యులు హోమ్ మినిస్టర్ మరియు భువనగిరి ఎమ్మెల్యే అయిన ఎలిమినేటి మాధవరెడ్డిని కలిసి సమగ్ర దర్యాప్తు చేయమని కోరారు.

జూన్ 04

డీజీపీ ఈ కేసు వెనక ప్రభుత్వానికి, పోలీసులకి అసలు సంబంధం లేదు అని మీడియా ముందుకొచ్చి వివరణ ఇచ్చారు.

అదే రోజు కొన్ని పత్రిక సంస్థలకి ఒక లెటర్ వెళ్ళింది. ఎవరు పంపారో తెలీదు. అందులో లలితక్క తానే స్వయంగా ఎవరికీ కనపడని చోటుకి వెళ్ళిపోతున్నట్లు, తనకి ఇంకొక నాయకుడుతో అక్రమ సంబంధం ఉన్నట్లు ఇలా తన వ్యక్తిత్వాన్ని తనే కించపరుచుకొని ఇక మీదట నాకోసం దయచేసి వెతకకండి అని లలితక్క రాసి పంపిన ఆ ఉత్తరం సారాంశం.

ఇలా తన గురించి తానే కించపరుచుకొని ఉత్తరం రాసిందా అని లలితక్కకి దగ్గరైన వారందరికీ అనుమానం కలిగింది. లలితక్క గురించి బాగా తెలిసినవారు ఇదేదో పక్క దారి మళ్లించే చర్యగా భావించారు. వెంటనే ఇంట్లో ఉన్న ఇదివరకు లలితక్క రాసిన ఉత్తరాల దస్తూరిని, అలానే ఇప్పుడు పత్రిక సంస్థలకి వచ్చిన ఉత్తరం దస్తూరిని ఫోరెన్సిక్ విభాగం పరీక్ష చేస్తే తేలింది ఏంటంటే అది లలితక్క దస్తూరి కాదు అని. ఎవరో ఫోర్జరీ చేసారు.

జూన్ 10

ఆ రోజు రాత్రి తల భాగం దొరకడంతో అది లలితక్క శరీరమే అని నిర్దారణ అయ్యింది, మిస్సింగ్ కేసు హత్య కేసుగా నమోదైంది. శరీర భాగల మీద పుట్టుమచ్చల ఆధారంగా అది లలితక్క శరీరమే అని కుటుంబ సభ్యులు గుర్తుపట్టారు. భువనగిరి కన్నీటి పర్యంతమైంది.

మే 29 నుండి పదుమూడు రోజులు పాటు ఊరి నలుమూలల బావులు, చెరువుల్లో ఇతర శరీర భాగాలూ దొరికాయి.

ఇది ఖచ్చితంగా భువనగిరి పోలీసులు, ఎమ్మెల్యే మరియు హోమ్ మంత్రి అయిన ఎలిమినేటి మాధవరెడ్డి, ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు కుట్రే అని ప్రజలు నినాదాలు చేసారు.

When police arrests any person in a non-bailable offence, the first thing the counsels of the arrestee do is, file an application for bail before the Court concerned

The Court hears the Remand Application filed by the police & the Bail Application filed by the arrestee together, and passes appropriate orders either remanding the arrestee to police or judicial custody, or granting bail.

Sri @ncbn was arrested in the wee hours of 9th Sept 2023 (day before yesterday).

Based on the Arrest Memo given to him by the IO, which clearly states that #ncbn may seek bail from the court, his defence counsels should have immediately filed application for bail on the same day (9-9-2023) before the Court of Special Judge for SPE & ACB, Vijayawada. But that was not done. Instead, they argued against his remand, etc.

When the defence counsel have NOT applied for the bail of the arrestee and only argued against his police remand, and if the Court agrees with the contention of the defence counsels then it logically follows that the arrestee will be sent to judicial custody to be lodged in a jail.

That is to say, as the defence counsels have NOT prayed for bail, the Court cannot grant an unasked for prayer. And that is exactly why #ncbn was sent to jail yesterday as his counsels did not apply for bail.

Had his defence counsels filed Bail Application before the Court of Special Judge for SPE & ACB, Vijayawada, and if it had been rejected, then an Appeal could have been preferred today (11-9-2023) before the High Court of AP.

As understood, even today (11-9-2023) the Bail Application has not been filed before the Court of Special Judge for SPE & ACB, Vijayawada, and instead an application for his "house custody" instead of "jail custody", was filed. Does it mean they do not want #ncbn to be released on bail?
