Tufted puffling update 💛
Gumdrop, Sequoia and Orlando's tufted puffling is doing very well! Our avian staff are very excited to report that mom and dad are actively bringing food back to the chick.
We are heartbroken to share that the walrus calf patient passed away this morning. Though our teams worked tirelessly to provide critical care treatments, never leaving his side, the calf ultimately succumbed to his condition.

Nā ‘Āikane O Maui Cultural Center has burnt down. It was a gathering place for Cultural Groups & Kīpuka for our Lāhui - everyone was fed & no one was ever charged. Cultural artifacts, and a safe gathering and educational space for our people has been lost. #LahainaFire
❗Wildlife Response Patient Update❗
The fur seal patient is now weighing in at just over 9 kgs, eating well, and has lots of energy! Despite doing well, she is still abnormally small for her age.

We said goodbye to Hopper last night💔
Nothing helped her worsening pain. Her regular and 🇨🇦vets agreed we were beyond what Librela could fix. We had a great last night - paddled, swam, and Hopps ate a whole XL Hershey bar. She was the heart of the squad & we are lost without her
More than 28 species of salmon and steelhead are listed under the Endangered Species Act, including those supported by the Snake River. Any “solution” to restoring them to thriving status that doesn’t involve breaching the Lower Snake River Dams is no solution at all!
