@khalidkarim I would argue that a sponsored student not returning is brain drain because these kids are expected to fill up positions in MARA, public service, PETRONAS, etc.

Nurses & doctors leaving has been a thing for a while.
Onco Penang recently lost 3 doctors in a single week.
