#GivingTuesday
Today the @pfizer Latino Colleague Resource Group partnered with @LittleBitSTL to help give back to the Saint Louis Community. @Target Black Friday deals got us over 500 socks and underwear ❤️ for children.
Every little bit counts towards community engagement!
To map cellular sources of the dynamic circulating proteome, we (@WeiWei_Stanford, @LyuXuchao, @longlabstanford, @CarolynBertozzi, and more) expanded our cell-type selective secretome strategy to generate a 21-cell type, 10-tissue map of exercise-regulated secretomes in mice.
This happened 😍. I met and connected with Angela Belcher, a phenomenal and inspirational scientist. The keynote speaker at @pfizer BTxPS Symposium, she spoke about her work @MITdeptofBE highlighting the breakthroughs for climate and women’s health. Find her work and read it!
Check out this collaboration between my lab and @HollenhorstM, @katie_tiemeyer, and @CarolynBertozzi! Combining glycomics and mucin-domain glycoproteomics, we fully characterized the site-specific glycosylation on Gp1b! #glycotime
Just look at this beautiful mucin domain! 😍😍
Yesterday, I gave a talk directly following one of my science heroes and today I’m flying to a school where my brain will always tell me I was invited by accident.
The impostor syndrome never goes away, but it gets easier to manage. Feeling thankful for these opportunities.
Take a class. Learn a foreign language. Learn the names of the trees and birds. Teach yourself cooking. Explore older films. We have access to more knowledge than anyone before us and the world is a feast for the curious and fascinated.
Gotta mix a little bit of fun with every work trip! In this case it was an absolute pleasure to sit on the career panel for @ChiMassSpecDay! Thank you to the organizers @trentmpc@jane_tbo and to @StacyMalaker for the inspiration. 12 hrs in Chicago were a 💥😍 #TeamMassSpec
Additional thanks to our career panelists who capped off the day with some priceless insight into the world of possibilities that mass spectrometry enables. @anjitru@StacyMalaker@jane_tbo @dr_kevin_parker
Abortion is not just health care, it is a human right. Beyond infringing on bodily autonomy, there are conditions in pregnancy that result in death without safe abortion care. This is a calling for all in medicine to stand on the side of justice https://t.co/8FdGtvwI2L
“When life gives you a Supreme Court rigged by twice-impeached president and an obstructionist 🐢 from KY - you make MFing 🍋 lemonade and donate all proceeds to the @MOAbortionFund” #RoeVsWade#WomensRights#HumanRights
This Tuesday night (June 14), a Chinese PhD student at UW Madison was brutally assaulted by a group of strangers on University Ave, close to UW campus. So far only one local news and one generic statement from International Student Service. @UWMadison What’s up? #StopAsianHate
Recently on the cover of JNeurosci: new ways of purifying synaptic vesicles yield deep coverage of the vesicular proteome with rapid and convenient protocols. Congrats, Maz!

My own personal farmer’s market 🥕🥦🥬🥒
After spending 7 days at #asms2022 I came home to a full harvest of beets, carrots, and kale.
You can call me a Mass Spectrometrist👩🏽🔬 and Farmer 👩🏽🌾 #GardeningTwitter#AcademicTwitter
As #ASMS2022 comes to an end, I feel motivated with new ideas but also grateful to always have a supporting group of awesome mass spec scientists
Remember that representation matters
