Watching the post-final interview with Pan zhanle where he talks about his motivation for winning, and sadly it seems like he felt discriminated against by other swimmers (he specifically mentioned chalmers, who apparently ignored his greetings, and splashed water on his coach?)
Pan Zhanle mentioned the unreasonable behavior of Alex from the United States and Chalmers from the Australian team in the post-match interview. Pan Zhanle simply ignored Chalmers' greeting, and Alex deliberately splashed water on the coaches in China during training.#Paris2024
Pan Zhanle: "Before the 4x100 relay on the first day, I greeted Chalmers [Australian swimmer] and he simply ignored me. Alexy of the US team, when we were training, splashed water on my coach; it just felt like they looked down on us."
This man let the hate flow through him.
