Second brownout of Spring Releases from https://t.co/2I42ugHxXm is getting underway.
Spring Releases will not be available from the repository, virtual repositories will not resolve snapshots and milestones anonymously.
Recent layoffs truly sadden me.

Let’s help each other.
NEW:
Britain’s grim winter of strikes, falling incomes and a worsening NHS crisis is not some unfortunate series of events
It’s the inevitable result of a decade of Tory austerity that steadily weakened the state’s capacity to respond to shocks

@maciejwalkowiak I have a feeling that some folks saying virtual threads are going to be disappointed. They’re being billed as a silver bullet. IMO, they’ll just be another tool in the box, useful in some situations and not in others. It would be exciting for the JVM if I’m wrong. Time will tell.
@rotnroll666 @maciejwalkowiak That’s the typical arrangement in a multi-module project and one that we hope to be straightforward. Maybe it is a Maven limitation. Regardless, it feels like there’s room for improvement somewhere a bit more central so that each app doesn’t need to jump through hoops.
@maciejwalkowiak That sounds like something that could be improved in Boot itself. If you haven’t done so already (I am on holiday so avoiding the issue tracker) can you please open an issue so that we can take a look in the new year?
If you’re looking for some cheap thrills for Christmas, THE PRANK is £2.29 on ebook at the moment. I have no idea how long for! THE TWINS paperback is also priced at £4.50. Hurrah! @welbeckpublish🎄🎄🎄
@pati_gallardo I’m left-handed and learned how to use right-handed scissors in my left hand as a young child. My primary school then got some left-handed scissors and I was expected to use them. It was a disaster. I just couldn’t unlearn my right-handed scissors technique.
@maciejwalkowiak So the ideal is that a project has its own hints. The shared reachability metadata repository is then a good fallback. A central repository benefits the whole community, no matter how they’re using Graal.
@maciejwalkowiak There has been reluctance among some projects to accept native hints. Projects have limited bandwidth and, quite reasonably, don’t want the burden of supporting Graal until they feel it’s critical to enough of their users. https://t.co/CiiFzoexDj is one example.
Spring Boot 3 goes GA today! Join me in taking a deep dive into the native image support in Spring Boot 3. Many thanks to @snicoll for taking time to review my article and providing valuable corrections and inputs! #springboot#graalvm#nativeimage https://t.co/dDWh3xlocS
