Is cutting tree in the name of development justified??? Do we need flyover in Dighalipukhuri, Guwahati, at the cost of deforestation? I am sure without cutting also, we can work out other options.

John McCain and I didn’t always agree, but he understood that some values transcended parties. He knew that if we got in the habit of bending the truth to suit political expediency or party orthodoxy, our democracy will not work.
John McCain had character. That’s what I think about so much these days because it’s so different from what we see out of the Republican nominee.
The biggest problem with bureaucracy isn't having too many rules. It's having rules that fail to serve core values and goals.
Dysfunctional organizations have rigid policies that thwart the mission. Healthy organizations have policies that can be changed to advance the mission.

@OfficeOfLGJandK Had the privilege of giving my Father’s, Sh S.P.Kar’s book on J&K to HLG/J&K. It was an emotional moment as he wrote this book in his final stages of cancer. The publishing was hurried as his days were uncertain. Thank you Sir for your time and patient hearing..
@eratharkas So aptly described. He started the book after he was diagnosed with fourth stage lung cancer. Doctors had given him 3 months to live when first detected. He lived on for 5 years. Completed the book..
@eratharkas Thank you @eratharkas for giving such a detailed review. I truly believe there might be a lot of additional perspectives for someone who reads this book. More importantly it gives a holistic context.
People may agree or disagree with his views. But his larger understanding of issues in a readable language would be of essence to anyone who wants the historical and geo-political context about these places in a single capsule.
Papa was a well read Man who had followed the geo-politics and historical context of Northeast and J&K through his service years and wanted to passionately project the issues in his own words. He had earlier written the well circulated book on Northeast geopolitics.
