Glad to join Hon’ble CM Dr. @himantabiswa dangoriya at the naming ceremony of the “Jayanta Dutta Road” (erstwhile Cole Road) in Dibrugarh district, in the august presence of Hon’ble Union Minister Shri @sarbanandsonwal dangoriya.

The road has been renamed in memory of Late Jayanta Dutta, former State General Secretary of @BJP4Assam, a dynamic & courageous leader who was brutally killed by militants in 2001.

We were joined by MLA Shri Prashanta Phukan, Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation Mayor Dr. Saikat Patra and a host of dignitaries & residents of the area.

Late Jayanta Dutta was a fierce and dedicated people's representative from Dibrugarh who contributed immensely to the development of Dibrugarh before being martyred by militants.

The 610m road will be redeveloped by DoHUA with a cost of ₹25 lakhs.

The wife of Late Dutta, Smt. Ratna Dutta and family members of other martyrs of the ill fated day were present on this special occasion.
