Dear @JDMahama,

I understand you’ve just taken office and may not yet be aware of our situation. There are 320 pharmacists, including myself, who were posted to various hospitals nationwide for our mandatory housemanship from July 2023 to July 2024.

We worked diligently throughout the year but have not received clearance, let alone our salaries/allowances. Despite all efforts to engage the previous government to pay us what we are due, we received no positive response. As a result, we had no choice but to take the matter to court, with the first hearing scheduled for Monday, 27th January 2025.

As the honest and empathetic leader we know you to be, we kindly appeal to you to look into this matter and help ensure that we receive what is rightfully ours.

The fight by this group of PharmDs for their allowances has been in and around the media for months now since we completed our housejob.

We’ve had several engagements, with even the Veep at a point when he met the media and the issue was laid before him
