@thisisgorilla Hi, I’ve booked and paid for a space and drinks package for a private event this weekend (Sat 13 May). Who can I get in touch with to sort out a refund/find out what’s going on? Thanks
BURY ART MUSEUM IS UNDER THREAT
Opened in 1901, it has an internationally significant collection, innovative contemporary programmes and exhibitions and a pivotal role in the community. Devastating proposed cuts mean it could cease to exist. Please share! #dontburyculture
Have your say and help prevent potentially devastating cuts to Bury’s biggest cultural asset.
#DontBuryCulture especially not in the town which was celebrated in 2020/21 as #TownOfCulture@AndyBurnhamGM

It’s absurd that as part of @BuryCouncil’s ‘Let’s Do It’ campaign - which arguably takes its name from an incredible exhibition which took place at @BuryArtMuseum - now proposes to carry out an ‘appraisal’ of said venue… after Bury was Town of Culture… We can’t let this happen!

We're inviting you to help co-curate the London, Sugar and Slavery Gallery at Museum of London Docklands for our next display in Summer 2022. Since opening in 2007, the gallery has been a dedicated space for communities to comment on these themes.

Well said, Prof. Margot Finn: “[I]n the past 20 years, we have seen such an extraordinary enrichment of what we know about the past...that genie is simply not going to go back into the bottle.” @EICatHome https://t.co/zTrsiBukOT

A wonderful #lifedrawing mini-film created by some very talented work pals - I even make an appearance!
One for those who love drawing and something nice to do over the bank holiday and half term.
Its been very eye-opening looking into Britain’s ‘involvement’ with the slave trade through art history during my MA, but is it surprising to see how people are still trying to erase/distort this history, with calls for commissioned reports to be ‘shredded’? Probably not.
Pleased that the Charity Commission has confirmed that our work into the links between colonial history and slavery and @nationaltrust places was within our charitable aims. https://t.co/0ZEEcHFCp1
