TJ who isn’t a qualified Maths teacher has an online Maths grinds company. He edited parent quotes on the website & had to apologise for advertising outdated & copyrighted exam materials as his own.
Now he’s posing as a student on Reddit praising his grinds company. 🤨 #edchatie
@peter_lydon@TUIunion I voted no. It breaks my heart that there isn't more traction or discussion about it, even on the teacher forums. People on the fence probably went along with the TUI advice for a yes vote. It's the same every vote.
@ConorJCallaghan@conorsmurf Everyone's needs are different. Lots of teachers on part-time contracts have to supplement their income somehow. Many want the experience to help their own students. Approx €1500 give or take after tax for 5 days works is worthwhile for many.
@ConorJCallaghan@conorsmurf It is paid work, not voluntary. In fact it can be quite lucrative when non-taxable expenses are considered. There is also the prof development and insight teachers can gain from it. As mentioned before, one might disagree with the timing but still apply.
@Killybegsgirl Pros and cons like everything. But 2-3 hours once per year in the grand scheme isn't huge. And what a lovely opportunity to hear all the positive comments about her work, it must mean a lot to her. For some, they could only wish for that! 🤣
@HangBlaa How do you know nobody from the school missed him? Perhaps proper protocols were followed and an EWS referral forwarded. Best not to speculate until full facts emerge.
It's clear to all involved that LC Redevelopment needs a pause.
Not only has AI changed the landscape completely but the decision to have a 40% project in every subject seems increasingly like a PR stunt akin to the 9 million, except here its repercussions are significant.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer..! The very best of luck to Lucy Buggy, Neassa Ní Luasaigh, Martha Hart (Kilanerin) and Caoimhe Ryan (Clonee) who contest the Ladies Senior County final tomorrow at 4pm in Bellefield. @kilaneringaa@CloneeLGFC
Ní ábhar iontais nár cheadaigh tú tráchtanna agus tú ag scaipeadh an chacamais seo @AodhanORiordain. Is í an fhadhb easpa na Gaelscolaíochta fud fad na tíre mar is eol duit féin. Mo náire thú go gcuirfeá an Ghaeilge níos ísle ná mar atá sí anois ar scáth na hionchuimsitheachta.
“I would really like to see phone pouches used is at home with a curfew of 8pm/9pm. Where more enforcement is needed is at home, where devices are purchased for them.
It's not easy for parents, but as schools have done, they need to step up & do the unpopular thing.” #edchatie
If you care about clean sport, there should be little to celebrate in an athlete who showed such disregard for anti-doping rules winning an Olympic medal

No matter what happens tonight @rhasidatadeleke has achieved what no other Irish female Athlete has done in getting to an Olympic sprint final.
And at only 21. She has won already. The rest is gravy. Push on now Rhasidat. The future is yours. May you flow like the wind tonight.

Utter disbelief on the face of Aoife O'Rourke as her Polish opponent has her hand raised tonight in Paris.
Four years of work and sacrifice down the drain thanks to curious scoring and refereeing.
Absolute sickener.
