@catsrule28305@MsGo@AuthorMJClifton Reminds me of when my hair started to curl again when I was about 10 or 11 years old. There were instances where other kids could not see the blackboard or the teacher thought that I couldn't see it through all of my brushed out curls. Did not know to only brush when wet yetπ€£
@dietgothbf When I was born my dad was 48, his mother was actually the last of my grandparents to pass away when I was almost 12. She died when she was 86. My grandfather on that side died before I was born. He had my dad when he was 24.
@Anonymous_jane9@slxthkween Lost my last grandparent when I was almost 12. My parents were 39 and 48 when I was born. My dad was born in 1943 when his parents were young, he lost his dad when he was 43 and his mom when he was 60π±
@catsandcoffee84@hatpinwoman The last two were hard to connect with. One had dementia on top of his acquired brain damage and deafness, the last one lived abroad and my sister and I were in no way fluent in German π
@catsandcoffee84@hatpinwoman I was lucky, my paternal grandfather passed away before he turned 68. This was years before I was even born. He was my youngest grandparent, born in 1919. I did get to meet the rest, but all passed away before I turned 12. Lost one in kindergarden.
@catsandcoffee84@hatpinwoman My mom was 39 when I was born, and 41 when my little sister was born. I like to think we keep her youngπ She will turn 74 this year. Dad passer away at the age of 81 at the end of 2024. The housing crisis and the COVID years gave me the chance to enjoy him moreβ€οΈ
@termloanb@dissproportion I think people should actually know their partner before marrying...Having a space to live that is not your parents attic would also be nice.
@horridweather@HankHeil My parents were 39 and 48 when they got married about a month before I was born. They had been together for 15 years at that point. Two and a half years later they had my sister. They were married for 33 years when my dad passed away.
@BlackFenelon@Abronsius@500greatalbums Lol, I just had my last week at work. Co-worker had one parent from Cape Verde and one parent from Curaçao. Maybe we just have a different frame of reference.
