She resigned in disgrace after the @prof_standards published a damning report into serious failures relating to how the NMC handled Morecambe Bay case & treated bereaved families, including mine.

💥MATERNITY COMMISSIONER RALLY AT PARLIAMENT

Join us in Westminster on Wednesday 11th February to raise awareness and demand that the UK Government urgently appoints a Maternity Commissioner.

Louise Thompson and Theo Clarke have created a petition calling on Parliament to take action and appoint a dedicated commissioner to improve maternity care, accountability, and safety for new mothers and families across the country.

This event is about coming together to:

➡️Support the petition
➡️Raise public awareness
➡️Encourage Parliament to debate this issue
➡️Stand up for safer maternity care
➡️Make some noise and demand change

We want as many people as possible. Friends, families, supporters, campaigners to attend and show that this matters.

Why it’s important:
Over the last ten years, nearly 750 recommendations have been made through countless maternity enquiries, all supposedly aimed at preventing suffering like ours.

And yet…

The system is still failing women and families
Previous policy recommendations are not being implemented
