On the way to the photocopier, to get paper for the children, my two pedagogical besties - Variation and Choice - tap me on the shoulder and say “The children will learn more if you provoke them a little.”

Our year artists have so thoughtfully, constructed their artist canvases over 3 art classes, exploring, inventing and discovering, they’re incredible! #NISTis
#NISTis play. Every international school I have been at has blown me away at how they organize their open studios… Today at a staff mtg, EY teachers presented Open Inquiry Maps. Got us thinking about how it relates to TAB in art @annadeibisu .. and it was fun to make slime!
… and I loved the dots that went out side of the dot box (!?) to celebrate #internationaldotday at #NISTis, “Ms Anna it’s a dot by not painting a dot” love it! 😍 so many little treasures to discover on the walls
#NISTis celebrating #InternationalDotDay in the art dept. an explosion of creativity in the corridors. Every ES NIST artist had the opportunity to create and exhibit! And curate where they wanted their dots to go… I love the ones that sneakily appeared around the elevator😀
Our Y1 artists have transformed smudges and smears to make magic appear! ‘A Beautiful Oops’ book by Barney Saltzberg never fails to inspire artists of all ages. Next steps, framing, choosing titles and adding our artist signatures because we are all artists at #NISTis
#NISTis voice and choice… Asked the Y4 & Y5 artists what they want to explore this year in art… and this time I took the 100s of post its and turned the ideas into posters. Luckily, I love clay! If you can recommend any Korean artists, please do.
Our artists have filled their frames with “What inspires you today?” A wonderful chance to listen to stories, see passions and interests and get to know our students in the first week of school at #NISTis
Our ELC art exhibition was an incredible learning experience. We shared our journey with the YIS community last Friday, and now we want to share it with the world! Check out our exhibition digital archive: https://t.co/QP39lqGBR6 #YISLearning#art#EarlyYears#PYP
While we've been apart, ELC has been inquiring into some Big Ideas. As @yis prepares to return to learning on-campus, we can't wait to explore these ideas further, together! Read about our journeys so far: https://t.co/HUaszARNrj #EarlyYears#YISLearning#PYP#inquiry#ATLs
When setting up the environment to provoke curiosity and wonder, we love indirect, non-verbal provocations that students discover independently. Today, process videos of clay sculptures displayed in a transparent box inspired clay exploration and creation. #YISlearning#pyp
Before making a decision on which direction to take our design we tinker first! What an incredible start from our 7th graders at #yislearning#helpedthemselvestothematerialsinthecupboard love this little setup they have going here!
Teachers in every school should watch one of his TED talks as a tribute and as a reminder to listen to and act upon his messages. #SirKenRobinson

Back on campus for only 45mins to meet my sweet 7th grade tutor. Masks, temperature checks and social distancing. Lovely messages made and read on the bball courts, broke the ice as the students chatted and drew - it was heartwarming! I miss them! #yislearning
