Is there a problem to be solved?
By 2001 there were 1600+ B2B exchanges in the US.
Jupiter estimated they would handle $6.3 trillion in transactions by 2005. Goldman Sachs said $4.5 trillion.
By 2005 the B2B exchange market was dead.

@bhalligan All of them? But if I had to choose, probably your podcasts with Parker Conrad and Ben Horowitz. As for who next, how about Wang Xing, founder and CEO of Meituan?
The most sensible take on China I have heard recently. Thank you @JeffreyTowson Understanding Hyper-Politicized China (176) on Podbean, check it out! https://t.co/CXd7w17Mps
Competitive advantages aren't everything in #digital business.
You have to balance that against Growth and Unit Economics.
My video unwraps this digital trinity.
Understand: people will constantly attack you in life. One of their main weapons will be to instill in you doubts about yourself – your worth, your abilities, your potential. They will often disguise this as their objective opinion, but invariably...they want to keep you down.
On AGI
The term 'super human intelligence' has been used as it regards AGI, and this suggests a lack of epistemological understanding.
Intelligence is the capacity to reason and the capacity to reason requires the ability to create knowledge.
There is only one mode of knowledge creation which has been described by the late Karl Popper, and this mode, similar to the law of computation, holds across the universe in that this mode requires conjectures and refutations regardless of the type of entity that is creating knowledge.
To be super human in intelligence, then, can only be described in terms of the adjuncts: processing speed and memory capacity, which has already long since been achieved by existing computers.
From this, the G in AGI necessarily requires that the AI, to generalize its intelligence, must be able to do what humans, and our predecessors, have been able to do for millennia, which requires the creative act of conjectures and refutations.
This is because there is no other known way to create knowledge that did not previously exist, nor is there any other way to learn existing knowledge such that one possesses an understanding of it, which requires that one create knowledge in their mind. This is only demonstrable via one's explanatory ability and contingent upon conjectures and refutations which are contingent upon creativity.
Thus, the G in AGI, must, by definition, require the same thing that humans require to conjecture and refute our ideas- creativity. In this way, epistemology has to be a principal driver in the quest to develop AGI because in order to figure out how to program the G necessarily requires that we first understand human creativity.
The only difference between AGIs and humans will be in physical substrate (silicon vs carbon), because the understanding knowledge that will substantiate the G is universal and we are fortunate to already possess the G. We just have yet to figure out the creativity that gives rise to the G.
While Popper described how we create knowledge, we have yet to understand the creativity that allows us to create it. Understanding human creativity will allow programmers the understanding to program the G in AGI.
Until then, as remarkable as current AI ability has become, it will never possess the G (creativity) required to create knowledge that it has not been given.
Ironically, we became superhuman as soon as we developed computers, because once an entity possesses the creativity required to create knowledge, all it can do to enhance its intelligence is process information faster and store more memory.
Thus, any human with a computer/computational device possesses superhuman intelligence.
It's a bit ironic, humans developed computers to enhance our intelligence via more processing speed and memory, and in order for AI, which already has superhuman processing speed and memory, to become AGI, humanity must first understand our own creativity.
The quest for the G in AGI is the quest for understanding human creativity. The question is to what extent existing AI programmers recognize the necessity to bring epistemology into the fold of their pursuits.
