🥹 11-year-old Danish boy becomes the first foreigner to receive the “Future of Ukraine” award
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented the honorary award to Jens Thomsen — a schoolboy who has been handcrafting Easter decorations since last year, selling them and donating the proceeds to help Ukrainian children.
Over the past year, the boy raised more than 34,000 Danish kroner and used the funds to buy backpacks and school supplies for children affected by the war.
“Huge thanks to Jens — from all our people, from the children of Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote.
@SecRubio This is democracy. This decision is the result of a thorough & independent investigation to protect our Constitution & the rule of law. It is independent courts that will have the final say. We have learnt from our history that rightwing extremism needs to be stopped.
@Trishanduke It takes time and effort to find a new community on the b s but it is worth it. It is a much more friendly and supportive place. Especially Europeans are leaving x.
@Trishanduke Europe has lost faith in the US after Trump has killed Nato and threatened to take Greenland.
Ukraine could have defeated Russia by now if we had given them the necessary support from the start.
BTW, I am not on X anymore. I have moved to the good place under the open sky.😉
@Trishanduke Direct investment in Ukraine defence industry is known as the danish model. I'm glad that Denmark is the biggest contributor measured by GDP. Ukraine need massive support, not the backstabbing that is happening now. US is actively blocking help and has sided with Russia.
„Our message will and has to be very clear: If others question the values of national sovereignty and the inviolability of borders, of freedom, and of democracy, we will stand even more strongly for these values.“ (tm) @EPPGroup
@Trishanduke It is wonderful how the Ukrainians still maintain and promote their culture. A clear sign of the Ukrainian fighting spirit. They deserve our full support.
@Trishanduke I follow this account on the other site. It is very moving to watch the brave defenders come home. I can't imagine what they have been going through.
The USA is claiming that Greenland is under threat and needs a much stronger military presence. But they already have full military acces to Greenland through a defense agreement with Denmark, and this is how they have used it. It does not add up.
Eleven-year-old Jens makes blue and yellow Easter chickens out of beads and sells them to help Ukrainian children who have lost their homes.
He has already raised over $5,000.
With all due respect @SenTuberville - you simply got this wrong. You have to revisit your facts on Greenland, including what the people want.
It is not respectful to send a delegation of senior officials at this time, when the Greenlandic politicians say that they do not want this visit.
And by the way - Greenland is very good for your health!
Sometimes a pause is very helpful. This news feed is an example of the kind of conversations going on outside my country. How much some popular people are trying to smear Ukraine. Don't fall for it please, they are just trying to bleach the blood off the hands of the Russians.
Traitor?
Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is a basic tenet of what makes America great and keeps us safe, maybe you should leave it to those of us who do.
"Be quiet, little man. You pay a tiny fraction of the cost. And there is no substitute for Starlink," — Musk responds to Polish Foreign Minister
Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio urged the Polish Minister to say "thank you" (!) for Starlink, claiming that "otherwise, Ukraine would have lost the war."
Thank you for your attention, this was aggressive diplomacy.
🚨🚨THIS IS INSANE: Donald Trump, the sitting President of the United States, questions NATO's commitment to America, despite the fact that NATO came to our aid when Article 5 was invoked after 9/11. Make sure everyone sees this.
