https://t.co/C3Yjo4Kxts @jonoridlernz@ShaneJonesNZ@ShaneJones_MP This is appalling. Keep up the marathon swim Jono, and let's stop this bottom trawling and over-fishing fiasco.
@AT_TravelAlerts Well the 6.30 ferry was cancelled and no notification - honestly @portsofauckland and auckland harbourmaster and @AT .. Appalling! I would love to know how many cancellations there've been this year. #omnishambles
@AT_TravelAlerts Every night this week and morn too, Devo ferries cancelled. Cruise ships, infrastructure now…unbelievably…due to high passenger numbers!! FFS. The #1 issue stopping people taking public transport is UNRELIABILITY!! Another meeting needed @MayorAuckIand !
@AT_TravelAlerts Totally unacceptable! You don't see commuter ferries anywhere else in the world cancelled because of cruise ships (or issues on them). Outrageous. #1 reason people don't use public transport is unreliability. This is our reality.
Genocide is happening in Gaza. Those who think otherwise, have a listen to this superb interview with (Jewish) Spencer Ackerman, Pulitzer Prize-winning national security reporter https://t.co/GdSqMa9wVE #Genocide_in_Gaza
On @SaturdayRNZ ex SAS soldier Barrie Rice talks to me about life, death and madness in the killing fields of Iraq, Fat Talk with Virginia Sole Smith and Airana Ngarewa on his new book The Bine Tree also When the Cats away and Richard von Sturmer!
@NewshubNZ Why is it not surprising these are all old, white, misogynistic men and surprise surprise, one is a local councillor (who said it was all a bit of fun). Maybe Invercargill councillor Skelt thought the same thing when he harrassed his female colleague. Rotary needs to axe them
This morning @RNZSunday we talk health, ambulances to Ukraine, making investment equitable, the quest for alien worlds, how to switch off from work and we are cooking up a storm. Tune in from 0800 @AlBrownChef@tenbypowell @girlsthatinvest @PC_Dempsey
Join me on @RNZSunday this morning - we’ve got @donmclean, @sharoncorr Nua Finau and JP Foliaki on the new movie Red, White and Brass, new sleep research, the fraud film festival and changing our relationship with money.
Thanks @DARBY4Shore for standing up for your fellow councillors and telling our @MayorAuckIand what to do with his edict! @RichardHills_ kept us informed and updated when the Mayor was absent and derelict in his duties #AucklandFloods
The Prime Minister should appoint a Commissioner to take responsibility for Auckland . The Mayor of Auckland has proven to be totally inept.
At 4pm on Friday we knew that he this was a serious storm , Communications should of kicked in then.
Calls for Mayor Brown to resign grow as a petition records thousands of signatures:
"Resigning has some perks, he'll get more time to play tennis, and I think there's a few Aucklanders who would like to show him their backhand game."

@RichardHills_ Keep up the great work Richard. Really appreciating your excellent comms since Friday, and the fact you've shown leadership in what was an obvious vacuum.
It's not even really about what time the state of emergency was declared, it's about the invisibility of the mayor and the way his and the council's communication channels were used – and weren't. It wasn't just a failure of crisis comms, it was an absence of them.
