Another weekend, another holiday for Mr. Rocky!
Looking back at how terrified and broken he used to be makes these moments even sweeter. Now, he is living his best life, taking boat trips to paradise and styling a mustard sun hat on a white sand beach.
From the absolute worst start in life to endless weekend getaways... this is exactly the kind of life you deserve, Rocky.💛
Bella came in massively obese and in a life threatening state. After 2 weeks...
🥘 What the team have been doing to help weightloss
⚖️ The big weigh in
🐶 Some very good unexpected news for her
A longer watch but one that will put a big smile on your face I think 😄
I will check her all night and have been talking to her to tell her to just fight through tonight as a great life awaits her.
I really really want Fluffy to survive. Keep your fingers crossed for her 🤞 (7/7)
My day started with this image popping up on my phone.
Could we help save the dog?
I dropped everything and the team swung into action. I’ve never seen anything like it (1/7) 🧵
Meet Ollie, a gorgeous 9 week old Bernese Mountain Dog x Standard Poodle puppy who is ready to find his forever family
🐶He arrived in our care as a very young pup & has been lovingly raised in a foster home, where he has enjoyed all the sights & sounds of family life
🐶Ollie is well socialised with people, other animals & the hustle & bustle of a busy home
🐶He is a happy, affectionate youngster with a wonderful temperament
🐶He is expected to grow into a large, active dog
🏡Ollie is now looking for an active, committed family who can continue giving him the very best start in life
🏡Like all puppies, Ollie has lots to learn, so he will need a home where someone is around for much of the day, can dedicate plenty of time to his ongoing training, socialisation & all the adventures that come with raising a young dog
🏡He is expected to grow into a large, active dog, so prospective adopters should be prepared for his exercise & grooming needs as he matures
🏥Ollie will leave Greenacres Rescue with a neutering contract & his new family will be required to have him neutered once he is old enough🏥
🏡If you're looking for a loyal companion to grow alongside your family, Ollie could be the perfect addition
🏡If you think you can offer Ollie the right home, please complete the application form by following the link below👇

We found him living in filth and badly attacked by other dogs living on the streets. For obvious reasons we called him Rod Stewart.
He's the happiest little boy who loves people! Next stop will be a forever home!
Just look how well she is doing.
This beautiful Dog came into us under animal welfare after her tail was cut off with a knife and the police had mentioned boiling water thrown on her. She also had an underlying skin condition.
We have provided more love care and support you can imagine to this beautiful girl and she has done amazingly just look at her skin now and there’s even tiny little hairs growing.
We’re also so happy that she has a new forever home to go to on Monday and her bloods have said that she is okay to go ahead with the dental.
This girl is 13 years senior and been through an horrific time but moving forward her future looks the best 🧡
A love letter to Pinot 🐶🥰
Rescued from an awful shelter in China, but thank goodness this little man didn’t end up on someone’s plate.
10 months of watching you blossom and become the happiest boy 🐶😍 And now you are ready to find a home of your very own 🏡🐶
Please retweet, real hero, Brian Blessed has adopted a dog that was due to be killed in a council pound !! #SUSSEX#UK 🐶❤️🏡 Sunday 9 August 2026
DAISY. Last week this amazing and very special girl left for her forever home. I was lucky enough to 'escape' for a few hours to take her and settle her in ... meeting her new Dad, the one and only Brian Blessed was a real privilege and to hear that booming and unmistakable voice in person was quite something! 😀😀😀
Daisy immediately took up residence in the Blessed household, whilst enjoying the company of her new 'boyfriend' living 'next door'!
Another happy ending for a very lucky and special girl who so very nearly didn't make it out of the pound!
If you remember she was handed in to a veterinary practice in Lincolnshire where she was diagnosed with a pyometra - This would, without doubt have killed her!
For those not aware - THIS is the oath that vets swear to in the UK ..... "I promise and solemnly declare that I will pursue the work of my profession with integrity and accept my responsibilities to the public, my clients, the profession and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and that, above all, my constant endeavour will be to ensure the health and welfare of animals committed to my care."
Note the wording ABOVE ALL! I ask - At what point is leaving a dog in a pound kennel with puss dribbling from her uterus ensuring the health and welfare of the animal????
ANYWAY - the good news was that I had a call from the pound in question as the council were going to euthanise. A very kind couple dropped everything and brought her to us and our own vets operated the following morning! She has made a full and brilliant recovery and we are all looking forward to updates! -

Well done BrianBlessed, a real hero. Best of luck Daisy xxx
I tag anyone that I think might help.... anyone that isn't helping enough, or that doesn't know the situation exists, or maybe doesn't care, should care more, may be motivated or shamed. I may annoy people with so many tags but I always aim to get as many people as possible to see these posts. Someone, somewhere may take a hint or maybe even realise the public cares and they should take action. I tag, Mps, celebrities, large animal rescues and welfare organisations, the media and pet influencers.
One fantastic person, like Brian Blessed, known worldwide, might have the influence to actually see a change in legislation to stop so many dogs being killed in council pounds in the UK. I've never seen @PETAUK say anything about this or the lack of figures from vets re how how many health pets are being killed in the UK. Are they aware of the scale of the British pet crisis?

Yesterday we got a call out to a street dog. Her eye had been lost to a growth.
But that was 24 hours ago. You won’t believe what she looks like today (1/7) 🧵
Choco is one of the pups that arrived yesterday.
Just around 3mths old he’s a really a little sweetheart.
He’s had his first vaccination just before arriving as we are cautious of course as that last litter arrived with parvo.
We can start taking enquiries for this little Choco pants 🥰
Plz share 🙏🏻
💔💔💔10:55 p.m. PUPPIES DUMPED AT A SKIP IN DUBLIN 💔💔💔💔😡😡😡
Six tiny puppies abandoned beside a skip, left in a box like they didn't matter.
A kind woman found them, and as always the MLHR team got there as quickly as possible.
Tonight they're safe, warm, and being cared for. They're only around 3 to 4 weeks old. They should be with their mammy, not fighting for a chance at life.💔💔💔
Tomorrow morning they'll be straight to our vet, and the bills will begin.
We honestly don't know what has happened to this country. Every single day, rescues across Ireland are dealing with heartbreaking cases like this. We answer these late night calls because if we don't, who will?
Please if you can make a donation towards the care of these six precious babies, 5 girls, 1 boy. We will give them the future they deserve ❤️

Thank you for always standing with us 💔💔💔❤️
Sleep tight and safe little babies ❤️❤️
